Alarm clock?

Do you use an alarm clock to wake up in the am? I have a sickening habit of waking up every day at 5! Even on the weekend I get up between 5 and 6:30. I wish I could kill my internal clock, but no luck!

How about you?

I use an alarm clock, but I set it on radio and keep it soft. I usually wake up at least 5 minutes before it goes off anyway! My husband is the opposite. I set my alarm for me to wake him up, because his is a load blaring horn-like noise that I just can't stand! I guess I need to be woken up gently...

No alarm clock here. I'm like you Ruby I wake up at 5 nearly every morning. That's one reason I started coming in at 6:00.
Do you still wake up even if you stay up late? I can go to bed at midnight or 1:00 and still wake up at 5.

My wife has her clock set to radio as the alarm, though we usually wake up before it goes on.

Ruby, we have the same situation.
Weekend mornings we wake up at around the same time as weekdays.

Stay up til midnight?? What is that? You forget I have a two year old and I am up at 2 or 3 some mornings still! Bedtime=10 p.m. the latest! There is nothing that keeps me up!

Your body naturally adjusts to the time you awake but my internal clock is permanently broken. I am a lousy morning person. If it weren't for the alarm during the week I would not make it to work on time. But Friday and Saturday the body has a tendency to be awake early but I urge it to go back to sleep for a while. I had read somewhere that you should get up about the same time every day, even on your days off. It is easier on your body.

I love mornings, but hate to get up in the dark. My internal goes off at 5:00 every day. When I was on vacation I slept in until 7:00 a couple of times and thought that was great!

My dog is my alarm clock.  she always wants to play in the morning.  But ever notice that your kids always wake up early on Saturday's when you have decided that you are going to try to sleep in?  You have to love opening your eyes at 6 am on a Sunday morning to the soft baby browns of a seven year old that says--daddy-I can't open the milk.

My wife is my alarm clock.

She sets an alarm and gets up about 20 minutes before I do. Since I don't have to get up with her alarm, I never hear it. I would oversleep most every morning without an alarm.

When I was at tech school, I was in a "dorm" and had to share a bedroom with a friend of mine. I was taking extra classes Mon, Wed, and Fri so I had to get up before my room mate on those days. On Tue. Thurs. he got up before me. I had my alarm set to radio and he had his set to a beeping noise. After a couple weeks we got to where I never heard his alarm and he never heard mine.

I have to have my alarm clock!  I didn't know there were people that didn't use one.  I can't imagine that!  That's really living on the edge to me.

I use an alarm clock, but I don't know why I bother. I don't hear it half the time because I'm such a sound sleeper and the other half of the time I walk all the way over the other side of the room, hit snooze and crawl back into bed and go back to sleep for 10 minutes, then repeat the whole thing over again about 5 times. I am NOT a morning person. I'm a night owl. I would be very happy to work midnights. My husband IS a morning person and he works midnights. That is so screwy. We both work the opposite shift that we should work.
