Good day, all. Remember how back around Christmas I ended up buying a new TV, microwave, and dryer... oh yeah... and a TV for Chris & Anna for Christmas... and I said I was DONE buying appliances for a while? Well... I was wrong. The other boy's stove quit working. You know the deal... no $$. Soooooo... I spent my yesterday stove shopping. Now I have a nice new Frigidaire Galaxy flat (ceramic) top range. My former super cool Frigidaire range is loaded in the back of the Exploder and in a bit here we (me and the stove) are about to take a trip to Montrose, MO, to deliver it to Jeremy and Debbie. I think it is a win/win situation... they get a much nicer stove than what they had before and I get an upgrade too. Got it at a heckuva price to boot. It was the last one of that model that they had in the store, so I ended up getting it below their cost. Clearance sales ROCK! I did have to talk me into being an adult and foregoing the stainless steel, double oven bad boy. I think I will save that until I actually get a gas line run into the kitchen so I can really get what I want.
Alas, I'm still looking for a decent washing machine for them too... water pump froze. I hate appliance shopping.
At least the weather is nice for the trip. Supposed to be near 50* today. It will be nice to see them too.

That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.
Oh my! I knew it felt really nice here today but I hadn't looked at the temp yet. It's 65 here! It feels cooler because we have some wind, but my oh my, 65 feels good.
Yesterday we got the boy's room all prepped and one coat of primer on.
Today, we're working on the first coat of paint. We're just about done with the white on the ceiling and 30" down the walls. Then we'll paint red on the walls up to that white line. Hopefully tomorrow, get the 2nd coat on. After that cures a day or two, we'll put a black stripe over the red/white junction.
