My parents used to tell the story that when my older brother went to his first day of kindergarten, my mom came back home and cried all day. Three years later when I went to my first day of kindergarten, she came home and yelled "Woo Hoo!!!!".
I've only missed one Sunday of church since before Easter. The one I missed was the weekend we were in Colorado. That is mainly because I started recording the sermons into my laptop for a good digital copy to put on the church website.
Before that, we skipped a lot of Sundays, especially during the conflict time before the split happened. My wife stays home now and then just because she's tired and had a bad week and just doesn't feel like getting up, dressed up, and getting ready to go to spend more time with even more people.
Web, no explanation needed. I was just kidding. I, too, miss some days. I am a firm believer in it is not that you go every Sunday, but that you live each day like you are there!
I decided I don't like this as an answer. Maybe a day off from what someone sees as a hum drum life but that is something to be changed not to take a day off from.
