I'm PISSED. Our internet was down last night, but I thought it might be just a blip, so I shut the modem off for the night. This morning, it's still down, so I call AT&T. They say it looks like it's the telephone line, and they won't have someone out to fix it until Thursday!
I looked into switching to Comcast, but the soonest they can set it up is Tuesday. That's still quicker than AT&T, though. I'm really tempted to switch.
For now, I'm over at Starbucks to use their internet. But we don't have cable, and the only channel we can get is PBS, and we switched to streaming only on Netflix, so the Xbox has become our main source of entertainment. Sometimes I hate having new technology, because I really feel it when it's not available.
I washed two vehicles and a dog today. I spent quite a bit of time back-and-forth with a customer who feels that his lack of understanding internet technology is my problem.
Now I'm overseeing the grilling of some chicken parts. That will be yummy.
That really stinks, Mz. Hope you get to watch some good movies, though.
Web, If I'da known you were going to be washing cars, I'da dropped mine off... and stayed for yummy chicken parts although that would have been hard to explain to THE MAN that I couldn't be at work at 7:30 PM to cut a layoff check... Yep, had to drive into town this evening to cut a check for one of the guys at the Houston job. Really, no big deal. He is a really good boss and it wasn't an inconvenience. Now my work here is done and I'm going back home.
