My boss is back, they had to come in super early this morning to put out a fire, so my day is starting off a little crazy. I should be able to settle down with my cuppa and get back to the normal routine here now that I've caught her up.
I'm headed back to the dentist this morning to begin the final round. One more crown and a filling repair and I should be done for a while. Then I can get back on routine check ups.
Mondays are long days for me with Isaac having self-defense class and we don't get home until 9:00 as it is. After school he told me he didn't have homework, so we went to the library anyhow and checked out some books. As he was putting his gi, he suddenly remembered, "Oh, I do have homework..." As Murphy's Law would have it, class went over and we didn't get home until 9:30, so he was up way past bedtime, groaning about how tired he was and didn't think he could stay up and finish, but he did. I wanted to kill him, but that would be a learned lesson wasted...
Where was I going with that?... Oh, yeah... I'm really tired...

You should fear anything that can bleed for seven days without dying... (as told to Mr. DS on 3-12-10)
A couple nights ago, the boy wouldn't eat what his mom prepared. It was just fried chicken and some pasta noodles, which he's eaten (and liked) many times so it's not like it was a strange meal. I told him that he didn't have to eat it, BUT he'd get nothing else later. No snacks, no toast, not even "good" food like a banana or nothing else later on. He said "Ok".
Knowing how he works, I came to the computer and printed off a contract that said "I hereby agree that by refusing to eat the good meal that my mother lovingly prepared for me, I will not ask for, nor will I eat anything else until breakfast tomorrow morning".
I handed him the contract and he got rather disgusted and pushed it aside. I told him he could either sign it, or eat the supper that was still on the table. He did sign it. He didn't ask for anything else and I KNOW without a doubt he would have begged for something to eat later.
Good day, all. Granted this day is almost over, but I am finally getting a chance to stop by. Yesterday got WAY out of control from the jump. It was all day people at my desk or me at someone else's desk. Couldn't catch a break.
So I decided that I need to do something about the junk that has reaccumulated in my trunk. Not sure I can really hang with the whole 25 week program, but I did start a new revised eating program over the weekend. I'm doing things a bit differently this time... several ladies in my office are on this same diet and at least one is having outstanding results. We will see how it goes. I've not been on it long enough to get a real feel for whether it will work for me or not. In accordance with the rules of the diet, I had to give up the diet soda. I've replaced that as my caffeine source with Excedrine Migraine. On the up side, I am drinking lots of water again.
Apparently it is sunny and 54* right now. It was about 38* for my drive in this morning... nice change of pace.
Hope everyone is having a great day!
