Good day, all. It was a very long night for me. Awake on and off all night long with work. Finally got done a little after 3AM and was sleeping really good til the news about the earthquake in Japan hit the news. So much devastation... my heart goes out to that country. Happily, the subsequent tsunami hasn't done much damage in Hawaii thus far.
Hoping this day stays mellow. I sure do need a nap already.
Hope everyone has a great day.

It's one of those weird dream-world days. I got plenty of sleep last night, but still, everything feels kind of surreal, like I'll wake up any minute. The tsunami might be contributing to that, it was the newscast on the radio that woke me up this morning.
I feel like that wave of water hit here. We have plenty of water. The creek behind the house has minor spillage and the places in the park are under water. As you go around the corner the river also has minor spillage and that park is under some water too.
I've been here long enough today that I now have my 40 hours in for the week. Let's go home.

I'm glad it's Friday. I want away from the office ickies. Although, being home around the middle child isn't much better. On Feb 21 we gave him 6 weeks to straighten up or move out. Looks like we'll be turning his plate over on the supper table.
I was having really wierd dreams too -- one I remember is that we were introducing my daughters boyfriend to Mr. DS, but he (the boyfriend) was naked...

I believe that the "early warning system" gave the people about 30 seconds notice before the earthquake. Not enough time to actually warn anyone. The devastation there is incredible from what I have seen.
