I can say that I have never had a girl hit on me, but one night I was with a biker friend of mine and a couple hit on us. The funny thing was I was not even 'going home' with my firend, let alone another couple too! It totally freaked me out and we had to leave. We still laugh about it though.
I used to go to a dance club where this girl kept coming up to me and saying, "Please tell me you're not straight!" Other than that, I have a lesbian friend who flirts with me, but I think she does that with all of her friends, so I don't think it's a big deal. I also have another friend that we always joke about that sort of thing, but nothing would ever happen there either. I'd have to say I was never in a position where it made me uncomfortable, it just seemed like a compliment.
I had a guy ask me to dance at my mother-in-law's 40th birthday party in a bar once.
I figured one of them had put this guy up to it as a joke. Come to find out after we had been there for about two hours, (the whole family, Grandma and Grandpa included) did we find out it was a gay bar.

One night when my husband and I went out, I had a girl hit on me. She said that me, her and my husband should "get together" and kissed me on the cheek. My husband was ecstatic., to which I rolled my eyes. Nah. Not gonna happen. The next time we were there, she hit on my husband.

I have had all kinds falling at my feet over my devestating beauty and charm. PLus the fact that unfortunately with the right song and to many Margaritas that I get pretty freaky on the dance floor.
Sparky. DO you mean to tell me you did not look at the name of the bar first before you went in to see if it was a Gay Bar?
It was the first couple of days back after spring break. I was having a lousy week. I had been in a car accident a few days before and that made things worse. I worked in the college of business computer lab. So, I saw quite a few people all the time and was always being of assistance. People were always asking things and for help. One night, my roommate and I were up late doing work and watching the news when the phone rang. We wondered who would be calling and I answered. It was for me. It was this girl that I have helped in the computer lab on a few occasions. The conversation progressed - something about the movies. I said I didn't go often but every now and again all my roommates and I would go. Then she said something about no, just me and her going. I was dumbfounded. I didn't know whether to be shocked or take it as a compliment. I wrote on a post it that she wanted to go on a date and handed it to my roommate who preceded to burst out laughing. I threw her out of the room until after she stopped giggling. Eventually this girl and I straightened everything it out. I apologized to her in case I gave her the wrong idea. Not really sure how I could have done that. But she told me that was okay and then went into some story how she wouldn't try to convet me. And how she had done that before.
You know I had to call my mom the next day just to tell her. She just laughed at me. I didn't think it was as funny at the time. I do look back now and laugh.
Maybe that is why I haven't had a date lately.

Sparky. Did you look inside the bar before you went in?
The Reunion might have tipped me off.
We have clubs with names like 3 Frogs Lounge, Mavericks, Concessions,Majestic, Silver Star,Bamboo Lounge, Renegades,Angles, All Sorts.
Dallas has clubs more obvious like Woodys, Lime, S4 ,Throckmorton Mining Company. JRs Bar and Grill, the Brick, Club 365 ( yes it is a Bathhouse of sorts) , Sue Ellens
Also . . . are "gay" bars usually started and intended to be "gay" bars from the beginning? Or, is it that a group of gay friends start hanging out in a bar and gradually invite more gay friends and it slowly turns into a "gay" bar. ???
As far as the topic, no, I've never had another man "hit" on me . . . at least not since I've been an adult anyway.
Gay bars usually tend to start out as gay bars and However there are alot of Staright bars that are gay friendly.. We had a bar here in Tulsa called Concessions. Just like your own Studio 54 in all ways possible. at least what they could not see behind closed doors. Everyone who was anyone went there and it was a good time bar. all people came to this club. Gay or Straight. However it got to the point where more staright people were going which was not a bad thing but they got into fights and just making it an unpleasent expierience. My partner and I were in Oklahoma City the night we found out that they were shutting down the bar because a straight guy had pulled a gun on another guy and fired it into the ceiling because he had hit on this guys girlfriend.
First off the name. I dont know of any straight guys that would name their bar Reunion. However did you look inside before you went in?
I think it's hard to guess from just the name in most cases. For example, in my town, Bullwinkles is a gay bar, but the Video Saloon and Axis Nightclub aren't. (Especially the Vid, it's definately a straight bar.) Now, Uncle Elizabeth's is pretty obvious, but man do they have good drinks, so a lot of straight people go there too.
