I have two days until vacation. The longest two days of my life. I actually don't mind it being all rainy here, it'll make the Florida sun seem that much nicer.
Until then, we're playing the "How many things can I fit into this carry-on bag?" game.
Morning folks. Coulda used more sleep -- must be the cloudy, rainy weather. Our place got 7 inches of rain over the weekend. Tulsa metro about 5. More today and tomorrow.
Hope these next two days hurry by, Mz!

I hope you have a great time on your vacation, Mz.
All three of us are home today. The boy is out of school for Easter and Mrs Web took the day off. She has some things she wants to do and she wanted me to stay home to help buffer the boy out of the projects.
We have chance of rain the next three days.
I'm going to have to start mowing soon - Ugh. We've had a lawn service power rake and aerate for several years. That takes care of the first mowing in the process. I saw our guy Saturday so I stopped to ask where we are on the list and he said "Oh, I'm not doing the labor part any more, I'm only going to be doing the spraying service now . . . I guess I should have let you know that." (Yeah, it would have been nice to know.)
I mowed for the first time last week. It was more to even off the growth. You know how that first haircut for the lawn goes. You have those patches that grow faster than other. I left it a little longer. I also fertilized it last week. Since I put the sod down in the front yard (to replace my entirely dead lawn) in late fall, I will baby it to make sure it settles in and establishes deep roots this year. We have had more rain than sun. The front does need to be mowed but I don't know when I'll get to it. It rained last night and I think we are supposed to have rain most of the week. Gee, with all this water if the sun does come out for a full day my lawn may sprout up a foot.

We were hoping to have opening day for mowing season (thought I'd make it sound like a celebration), on Saturday, but we were rained out. Now, who knows how long before it will be dry enough to mow. I think this is deja vu from last year .

MZ, in case I don't get back here before you leave, enjoy your vacation!
PAMBO?!?!? Nice to see/read you again!
Web, I'll mow your lawn for the low low rate of $500 per week! Think about it (but keep in mind I'll also require payment once per week even through winter).
I just finished up a three day weekend and now I've got the back to work blues. I just gotta get through this five day week and then I start another stretch of three day weekends that will last five weeks. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...
