Did someone change the status of FFR? I used to listen but now it's says that Station is full and I'm not a VIP preferred member. Did something change?
I know and I was on earlier today infact I never leave. but now it won't let me listen. and FFR only has 14 listening to the station and that can't be over the number of members?
Jeremy explained it to me. The station has bought enough bandwidth that will accomodate 100 regular listeners, that is the non-paying listeners. VIP listeners, those who pay live365, have access to all stations at anytime. If you can not get on a station it is because the maximum number of regular listeners has been acheived, thus a sell-out. Freeze Frame can buy more bandwidth in chunks of 100 listeners at a time. Right now the station is running, on average, about 120-125 listeners. I believe that includes regular and VIP combined. Jeremy says he will add more when the station can support it.
I believe that's how it is.. If I've missed anything or incorrectly stated something, Jeremy, JD, please let me know.
Yeah!!! We're selling out a couple of times every day now!
WOO HOO!
We're gonna start advertising locally soon, hopefully we can start being sold out all day during the work day (so get in early and stay in if you can).
Once we're selling out on a regular basis we'll up our availability levels.
RAY, thanks for relaying the specifics to everyone for me!
And I think VIPs don't count towards the 100 limit. So if 90 regular listeners are tuned in and 10 VIPs, 10 more regular listeners can still get in. (I've seen other systems where the paying members still count against the non paying members, and I'm glad that's not the case here.)
This is right, young molly. we can have unlimited VIPS!
Its fun to watch the stats- during the day 75% of the listeners are non-vip, but at night the table turns and its 75% VIP. Heck one Sunday for a stretch it was 100% VIPs! A big goose-egg for the regular listeners!
(although 32k dial up listeners are not reflected in these stats).
