This is our last day in Florida. We fly out this afternoon. I hope the skies stay peaceful, and that we don't have too much trouble getting through security.
I'm glad Osama is dead, but some of it seems fishy. I haven't fully listened to the reports. Why did they already throw him out to sea? Shouldn't he have been on display? It took ten years and a gazillions of dollars to find this man. Does this mean all the troops can come home now? Why do I think this will still drag on for quite some time? I guess until I fully pay attention to the story, it seems like they could be making the whole thing up. They only tell us what they want us to hear anyway.
Have a good trip back Mz.

Ding dong the witch is dead. Which witch? The wicked witch... la la la la la...
Of course it's fishy, he was burried at sea....
On the radio station I listen to in the morning, a former Navy Seal called in and explained that with everything that is going on in the world (USA), rather than turn him over to the United States and risk him being given a Muslim burrial, they burried him at sea to deny that privilige.
Of course, everything to me is a GOVERNMENT CONSPIRACY, so lets sit back and watch the chain of events that unfolds...
Popcorn anyone?
Hope your vacation was relaxing, Mz. Have a safe trip home.

Thanks for sharing DS. Like I said. I haven't really listened to much of it. I was just wondering if after they proved it was him, the armed forces kicked the crap out of him some more and they didn't want anyone to see or know that so they just kicked his corpse off the side of the boat.

On the news last night I heard that the military has had his DNA on file for years. What I caught was that it was collected from some of his family members, but I didn't hear if any was actually from him personally. The DNA test was performed immediately after he was killed.

I heard that too: The DNA test was done before the release of the news that he was killed.
They couldn't release the news right away anyway, because all the news people were at a wedding.
I also heard that something about Islam custom says that a body must be buried within 24 hours of death so with respect to Islam (not Bin Laden) they buried him at sea.
Personally, I think he should have been buried at "Ground Zero" and then had a public toilet built on top of the grave.
NA NA NA NA... NA NA NA NA... HEY HEY HEY... GOODBYE! Officially speaking, that f-ing guy is dead. Oh happy day!
Could have been exactly as they said it happened, could have been years ago from any number of causes and just now they are officially announcing it. Either way, dead is dead. Sure, there will be tons of conspiracy theories out there. From one perspective it seems odd that they dumped him in the ocean, but from another... not so much. It does deny him a physical resting site that people can visit and turn into a shrine. It also gives the illusion of "respecting Islam" by burying him in the requisite time frame. It takes away one more thing for the terrorists to go after... specifically looking for the place where the body is being held before burial. It also is kind of a nod to the SEALS in that it is their way of claiming their kill and forever banishing him to Davey Jones's locker... sort of a final thumb of the nose if you ask me.
Anyhoo... happy Monday all. Hope everyone has a great one.

Was okay until the drilling started...now I'm not okay. Stupid movers. Fortunately, it was only for a few minutes. Unfortunately, that was long enough.
That's what I told my son this morning, Mema. That perhaps he's been dead for years, and this could be a "publicity ploy" for Obama to score points as we are nearing election time again. We are so manipulated, we can't even begin to imagine just how much.
I missed the last part of Brothers and Sisters on TV last night... :(

One of my friends (has way too much time on his hands) is posting all kind of stuff on FB about how he has been dead for years because his dialysis machines were destroyed in the earthquake in Pakistan... and that he had really nothing to do with 9/11 anyway as the video of him claiming responsibility was a fake. I dunno... could be true. I'm going to be happy about today's news anyway. As we say around the office, Bin Laden was "the face" of 9/11... therefore by our standards he gets the "credit" for it. As a direct result of the events of 9/11, my life was changed in some very real ways: 1) I worked on the disaster recovery team that was responsible for restoring phone service to lower Manhattan. 2) I had to drive a different path to work every day because I lived near an air traffic control backup center and they closed one of the roads I used. 3) More than one member of my family spent/is spending time over in Iraq and Afghanistan because of the wars.

Does this mean the president interrupted the show? I have it recorded. Darn him. I am a little behind on that show. That'll put me three hours behind. Which isn't too bad. I watched the "double episode" yesterday.

From what I've been reading the government has plenty of post shot-in-the-head photo's of the body among other evidence including actual video of it going down but they're reviewing what, if any evidence to release.
They know the burden of proof is high in the Muslim world, but if you'll recall, we've released photo's of dead targets in the past and been severely criticized by for it in the foreign press.
Personally I say the guy killed 3,000+ Americans who never signed up to fight a war, so I'd take the goriest photo we have of his lifeless body, print about a million color photo copies and air drop em' all over the middle east.
This morning on the news they were talking about how it was one cell phone call the courier made that turned out to be a large part of what helped us find him. Mrs Web said "Now why would they release that info to the press? It just helps the next ones to know to be that much more careful".
I think this is one case in which the govt should purposely lie to the press and say "We got a tip on his location through an informant who is also a high ranking Al Qaeda member" . . . then let them tear themselves apart even more trying to figure out who the traitor is.
