The Great Coffee Club War 10/05

If it weren't for small little dramas, some people would have no lives!


The work coffee club has been out of coffee for 2 days now, and nobody is doing anything about it!


We all chipped in money last month, and this one guy said with his wheeling and dealing and double-punch cards we'd be hooked up for quite awhile. Well I think he did his math wrong because we are out of coffee.


2 other members contribute, but hardly ever drink any coffee.


Me and another lady aren't buying anymore because we contributed to the wheel-n-deal last month.


Another lady is simply too cheap to contribute. she is a leach. and she occasionally invites two of her leach friends over for a cup.


Plus next month for my birthday I get a free pound of the good stuff from a coffee shop here in town, and will just contribute that to the club anyways.


So everyone is cranky, without coffee and nobody is doing a damn thing about it!


But I did something about it for me! At lunch I made a starbucks run and got me a big old VENTI FRENCH ROAST! I am leaving the top off so those who sit by me can smell how good it is! I am sipping loud too!

Boy! I'm glad the company pays for our coffee. We get the good stuff like Millstone and we also have all kinds of tea over by our water cooler (which provides both hot and cold water). Cookies and such on Wednesdays.

I am brewing a nice pot of irish creme flavor coffee here at my desk.  (no one else really drinks coffee here so they don't care.)

the company does provide coffee, but its something called TORQUE. I think it has something to do with what it does to your insides!

ohhh plus everyday its HE BREWS IT TOOOOO STRONG /SHE BREWS IT TOO LIGHT so maybe there is an anomosity there that is adding to this........but what do I care. they can all suck my coffee steam!

At my last job we had one of those really bad coffee machines. You know the one that you can either get a 2 oz cup of coffee or something that resembles chicken bullion that is supposed to be soup.

Thats too funny JD! What you need to do is get one of those mist bottles and load it with a strong flavored coffee and just shoot it over the wall once in a while!

Ah, you gotta love company provided coffee, though I must say, Sparky has the set up! We just have Maxwell House (or Folgers, I can't remember which).

At my last job, the coffee was a joke. First they had two regular coffee pots for over 100 people. Then they bought these two huge coffee makers that took, no joke, 1 1/2 hours to brew. So, come 9:30, everyone was jonesing for coffee, and it was a fight over who got it. If you didn't get up there in time, the next batch would be ready at 11. I starting getting the coffee from the gas station instead.

Mmm! there is nothing like gas station coffee! The cup itself has that hint of gas smell and the coffee is usually used to clean the floors after the shop is closed.

But it's cheap, it's caffeinated, they have those little flavored creamers to mask the gas flavor, and at the gas station I used to stop at, every 6th cup was free!

it was only a few short years ago that I could fill up the tank for 8 bucks, 1 dollar for gas station coffee, 1 for lotto, and I was all set!!
