I don't normally eat breakfast, usually my stomach doesn't wake up until about 11, at which point I might as well wait for lunch. I've tried forcing myself to have breakfast, but I end up falling out of the routine because I'm just not hungry. But all these week, I've been so hungry in the morning. Today I thought, "Should I take something for breakfast today? Nah, I'm not hungry." Now that I'm sitting at my desk, I'm starving.
It started raining about 7:00pm last night and hasn't really quit. Nothing severe, I have only heard thunder a couple times, but it's been raining hard. The weather dudes say we could be looking at 4" before it moves on later today.
A FaceBook friend posted this today. You may have seen it, but I thought it was funny:

Morning all. It is a really nice weather morning. Too bad I'm in here. Oh well, such is things until I win the lottery jackpot. I'm going to go read some stuff.

Good day, all. It is pretty wet here too. We had thunderstorms until the small hours of the morning, but nothing too bad. There was about marble sized hail for a few minutes. Just looking out the windows I don't see any property damage around here. We are in for more rain today, but the percent chance drops this afternoon and through the rest of the week. Might be a nice weekend.
I can happily report this morning that my ankle is improved. The swelling is not near so bad as it was yesterday and walking is a little easier this morning too. The bruising is starting, but that is to be expected. We'll see how the rest of this day goes, but I'm actually planning on taking it easy. About the only thing definitley on the agenda is lunch with the BFF.
Those new texting codes are fabulous! I can totally relate to many of them.
Hope everybody has a great day!

It was pretty bad around the OKC area last night. On the news this morning they have been showing the video of a tornado chaser trying to outrun another massive, multi-vortex, wedge tornado that took out a small town outside of Enid, OK. Amazingly, no one was killed though several houses were demolished.

Good morning, everyone. The DS family survived the storms. Where we live didn't get the same cell that moved through El Reno & OKC then north. We live just NE of Bristow OK where another, less organized, cell traveled. We had mostly lightning and thunder, about 20 minutes of heavy rain and high winds, a couple minutes of pea sized hail, then like magic, it was over and it lightly rained for about another hour. Nice cool off. Even though it was a bit muggy, we slept with the windows open.
What really stinks is that I didn't pay my electric bill in April and I guess I missed the cut-off notice too, so yesterday we got home and didn't have electricity. Couldn't watch the weather to see where the storms were. I'm just glad that it wasn't bad. I have only had my electric cut off one other time in my life, and that was when Jacob's dad had his breakdown -- deja vu Glad Mr. DS wasn't upset, as he knows we've been under a lot of stress.

We got our electric cut off a couple years ago. Our town never enforced the due dates. We always paid our bill. Yeah sometimes it was late and it was never a problem. They must have decided to make due dates really mean due dates and we got shut off for being no later than we had been in the past without issue. Now we're more careful about getting it paid on time . . . but it came at a cost.
Mrs Web to city utility employee: "Yes, you were late on your loan payment so you got a fee. Yes, I COULD wave the fee because you've had a difficult month, BUT considering the city policy as a guideline, one day late is still late. Sorry."
Yeah, I didn't even ask if they'd waive the disconnect/reconnect fee. We've been late a few times in the twelve years that we've lived there, but never more that five days. I almost didn't get it scheduled for re-connect because I'm not on the bill, and I don't know the last four of Mr. DS's social. "Lookee, here ma'am," I said. I just went through your automated payment system on the phone like you told me, and it wouldn't let me make MORE than the amount due. You're telling me that I need to pay the fees as well as the amount due. I was able to pay the amount for the shop account without providing a social.(??)"
"Well, I'm sorry, but your name isn't on the account, and you need the last four of the account holders social."
"Seriously!?? I don't understand how you can insist that I provide that information to you when the automated payment system doesn't even ask for it, but still takes my payment. All I want to do is get our electric turned back on. I realize I lapsed on the bill, and I wouldn't have even called for your help if I could pay MORE than the amount due."
She FINALLY gave in and connected me with someone who said, "Oh, no problem; we can take care of that."
*sigh*

Sorry to hear about your problem with the Electric Company DS. Ours is usually pretty lenient, in fact during a five month block in winter they're legally not allowed to shut off the electric even if you don't pay a penny (lot's of people on the poor side of town get turned off as soon as spring rolls around).
The more and more I watch the weather and other aspects of mother nature occur around the country the more I think Wisconsin is a perfect place to live. The northeast gets much, MUCH more snow than we do, the west gets earthquakes and wildfires, the south gets horrible tornados, the southwest gets hurricanes. Truly, we rarely get anything severe. The occasional spotty flooding, a semi-serious tornado every few years. That's about it. C'mon everyone, move to Wisconsin! It's for your own good!
I can not move to cheeseland. There is absolutely no way I can root for the Brewers and Packers. And you don't even have hockey or soccer! Or good soft pretzels. Or cheesesteaks. Or Tastykakes.
Do I really need to continue?

Thanks, JR. I was actually very suprised that thay disconnected it on a day that the entire state was on severe weather alert! The "no shut off" rule in winter only applies if there are small children in the home, otherwise, they don't care. It might apply to the elderly too...

WOW... I'm glad they finally decided to work with you. We have a cold weather rule here. The way it works is that they can't shut you off if the temperature for the next 24 hours is forecast to be below freezing. Soon as it is above freezing, they are good to go. Years ago I was shut off for being late, but they are actually pretty good at working with the customers if you call in and work out a plan with them.

I have lived in Wisconsin. WAY too much snow...and I hate snow.
I've driven thru Nebraska a few times...and my daughter lived there for a school year. Nothing much to do there...which explains how my grandson, Cameron, came to be.
I need someplace where the weather is stable, the barometric pressure doesn't waiver, there's no wind, there's sun, there's stuff to do...anyone got a place like that?
