Phone ring tones

an annoying and incessant DING DING DING DING notifies some people in the office that they have a call. someones phone has been going DING DING DING DING DING all day and they are not picking up! customer avoidance I am sure....

what kind of phone ring tones do you have- anything special? a song on your cellphone etc?

I think we've done this one before...

I have Blondie - Call Me. It was a tough choice between that and Jenny 867-5309.

If I could find the Beatles - Michelle as a ringtone in the US (and it sounded decent), I would switch to that in a second.

My ringtone is a single note. I will not let it ring just to annoy people. But then again, I do not have a lot of calls when at work. If I am busy, you can leave a message and I will get back to you. There is a co-worker who has some annoying song and you can't tell what it is but it is loud. Why do you need it loud if it is next to you on your desk. obviously it is most annoying when it rings and she is not at her desk. Then her dorky voicemail indicator goes off every minute or two. And if she is off wandering, then is when I want to throw the phone. I have though about putting it in a desk drawer when that happens.

My cell phone almost never rings, and I keep it on me, so if it does, I can turn it off right away. I have the ring kinda loud so I can hear it at home or in the car, and I just always forget to turn it down for work. But I always catch it real early so it doesn't annoy anyone.

no, for real at work I  keep it on vibe and I have a standard ringtone out of work.  But, my phone can't download ringtones - if I could it be barbie girl.

Molly - it usually isn't too bad unless you sit out in a sea of cubes. If you are in your own office, you are good.

OMG! As we talk about it, there goes the girl's phone. But she changed the ringtone. Now it is not nearly as bad.

My phone is a couple years old and only does the basic tones and I use a fairly low volume one. I always put it on vibrate when I go into a restaurant, bank, etc.

Why do people in public places think they have to shout into their phone to be heard on the other end?

I know!  I'm guilty of that until someone pointed it out.  It's kind of like eating in public.

I have even requested hr to send out the cell phone warning memo a few times- threatening a ban in the office! but even the warnings do no good!!!

dont leave it at your desk and walk away!!! a few people must have stalkers!!

work phone rings, then cell phone, then IM bings. repeat. repeat. repeat......and these people who get this done to them are as irritating as the people doing the calling,,,,the stalking. I need my own office! I'm taking over the mens room!

This is exactly what happens here. I think they are paranoid too.

Good luck in the men's room. Just don't be on the phone if someone comes by to make a pit stop.

If I get a call when I'm at a restuarant, I excuse myself and go outside to take it. I turn my cell phone off during any sort of show or movie. But if I'm in a store, I'll talk and shop at the same time. I don't think I'm a cell phone yeller though.
