Halloween

Okay, it's getting close enough, we need a thread dedicated to Halloween.

What was the house in your neighborhood that gave out the best treats? What was the coolest house to go to?

There was one short little street in our neighborhood that nobody bothered to go trick or treating on that we knew to hit every year. One house gave out full sized candybars. Another gave out cans of pop. And then there was the street in the middle of the neighborhood where all the neighbors would get together and decorate, and one house blared halloween music, and one of the houses on the steet gave 5 nickles taped to a pumpkin cutout, and one house put a speaker in their pumpkin on the front porch and sat inside with a microphone and make the pumpkin talk to you, and the fire station was on the corner and the firemen would be out with the truck and giving out candy... I have never seen better trick or treating anywhere else.

He put up black curtains, had REAL grave stones on the front lawn, blared the weirdest Zappa he could find (turned me on to zappa when I was 5 and is in fact one of the first people that taught me about jazz)and dressed to the nines as a vampire!

the kids got candy, the folks got a budwieser!
