Well, I ended up going a little bit shorter than I planned with my haircut. I went from about waist length to shoulder length. I think I like it, I'm still getting used to it. No one at work has noticed yet, but I don't think anyone has really looked at me yet.
I was dreaming that I was at a bowling alley; then I woke up and realized that it was storming We really need the rain, but when it clears up this afternoon, it'll be sticky and humid -- heat index 105 I really shouldn't complain since I work inside under the nice cool air conditioning.
So Mz, you chopped enough off to donate to Locks of Love? I love my haircut; saves so much time in the mornings.

We're not getting the sticky and humid yet, thank goodness. It'll be in the mid 80's, a pretty nice day. But I'm also inside in the AC. :(
Not quite enough for Locks of Love. We probably could have eeked it out if we would've thought of it, but they need it in a ponytail, and by that point, it would've been too late.
I've got a sore lower back, and I don't know why. We got home from the game last night, I showered, sat down in the recliner and felt fine. I got up a bit later and my lower back has been hurting every since. It's just on the left side.
I need a massage, but it's still almost two weeks away.
The game went pretty well. The other coach was MUCH better this year. Our coach (also my pastor) doesn't like how he leads the kids, but he wasn't purposely being a tool this year. We won 12-3.
The boy and I stuck around a while after our game was over and watched the big guys play some slow-pitch softball. Our youth pastor was playing and his first time at bat, he pulled a hamstring on his way to 1st base. #oldguysplayingsports
VBS is going really well this year. They had more kids the first day than they've ever had before, and that usually gets better as the week goes by.

Don't worry, it is just sympathy pain for me. I deal with it every day and some days are worse than most. Usually it is mild and I am able to ignore it.

Good day, all. We are on break from training while we work out some access issues for the India peeps. It has been yet another long day. I've got my own set of training classes that I need to be taking but I can't seem to get into them. Turns out I'm misclassified in the training website for my company as a subcontractor. I used to be a subcontractor, but not anymore. I've sent at least 15 e-mails today trying to get this fixed. The bad thing is that I need to have several hours worth of training completed by 11AM on Tuesday as this is when I'm supposed to be in the instructor led portion of the training. At this juncture, it doesn't look possible. We'll see.
If it helps you out, I feel a bit beat down too. I think I'm trying to get a cold. Had a fever and some nasty body aches last night. It is mostly better today, but I still have a bit of a sore throat. Just my luck.
Ah well... hope everybody is having the best day possible.

I think I know what'll help kill the germs. Adult beverages. After all, does alcohol not kill germs?
I finally got around to trying a new drink last night. Quite some time ago, one of the girls at work mentioned whipped cream vodka. I thought it would go well in orange soda. Probably wouldn't be bad in root beer either. Let me tell you that it is enjoyable in orange soda. And what is even better is that it doesn't even taste like vodka. I'm sure people know what I mean when I said the vodka can bite back at you. This didn't seem to do that. I will have to try a shot straight just to make sure. Think I'll do that before I go to darts tonight.

I thought of you Fuzzy last weekend when we were at the liquor store (in Chicago, buying liquor on a Sunday, take THAT Indiana liquor laws!), and I saw those flavored vodkas. We're building our liquor cabinet back up, so I stuck to the essentials and didn't get any, but I might try some later.
There may be hope for Indiana yet, Mz... Kansas finally allowed Sunday liquor sales about 2 years ago. Some smart cookie finally figured out that the state was losing tons of sales tax revenue to Missouri.

It happened here a number of years ago here too. Not every store is open. Most distributors are open 12-5pm. Only a few liquor stores (run by the state) are open. I think they were tired of people running over to NJ.
