Weekend plans?

My husband and I are taking Emily to her first (and mine) pumpkin patch. They have hay rides, a killer corn maze, pony rides and you can pick a pumpkin from their patch. It is supposed to be in the 80s, but with almost two weeks of rain, I know it will be muddy. But a little mud never hurt anyone! Zach is going camping with the scouts, so it will just be us three! I am very excited!

Sounds like fun Ruby!

I drive past a big pumkin patch field every day on my route.

My weekend plans include NOTHING. No Pack to watch. I do have a birthday party to attend on Saturday, other than that I'll probably just enter in some online poker tournements and do some housework.

It's our last soccer weekend of the season. One game Saturday and one game Sunday...2 hours away in Ft. Wayne. Hopefully with nothing much else. But come Monday Night....
Colts vs Rams. I'll be on the sideline for sure.

THere is a new open marketplace in downtown milwaukee that has a bunch of different vendors. it opens this weekend- fresh poultry, nuts, dandies, tamalies, bakery, there's a flowershop I guess too, and a deli, a sea-food market etc, coffee mill- that will be cool.

will probably go see that tim burton movie too.

Good luck to your daughter, Ray!

I've got some sewing to do, but other than that, I don't have anything planned. I keep feeling like there's something I was supposed to do this weekend though...

Hey JD, that's another place I drive by every night, right at the end of my route. I first noticed yesterday that they had food inside already. They said it wasn't gonna open until spring of 2006.

I might stop in tonight.

I am doing a re-tile in the bathroom. Whoever thought carpet in a bathroom was a good idea should be shot!

I get to clean out the garage.  I am so excited.  I also get to scalp the lawn.  Even more exciting.  I want JR's weekend of NOTHING.

No special plans here. Should be a "normal" weekend.

I have a busy weekend planned. Today I will meet my hubby when he takes our daughter to the dentist. We're going to stop and buy him the bow that he has been wanting FOREVER. Just one more thing I won't have to worry about hearing about (for a couple of weeks). I have to get some groceries and then we will head home from the big city.

Saturday we are going on the Fall Color Drive. It's a county wide thing in Pike county, Illinois, that celebrates the turning of the leaves by having each town in the county set up craft booths, games for kids and food stands. It's pretty fun. We make the trip up there every year with my in-laws. Fun, but exhausting. A lot of walking and we usually end up with my three nephews going with us. When I get back from there, I will be baking up a storm. I have to make three pies and three items for the sweet shop (I'm thinking a pumpkin spice cake with cream cheese frosting, oatmeal raisin cookies and a double layer chocolate cake with chocolate icing) for the church dinner on Sunday. I also bake cookies for my fellow dumpling makers to chew on.

On Sunday I will go to the church dinner and roll dumplings all day long for the church dinner (have rolling pin, pizza cutter and spatula, will travel). They have a country style dinner with homemade dumplings (made by me ), stuffing (or dressing), green beans, fried chicken, roast beef, mashed potatoes, slaw and pie for dessert (three of which will be made by me). After that is over, I will go and pick up my kids and probably collapse. Somewhere in there I am going to have to find time to clean my house. It will be good to get back to work to escape my weekend.

Oh, and sometime in there I have to walk around with my son and sell Krispy Kreme donuts for a fundraiser. I'm about fundraiser'd out.

That's true, it will be good family time on Saturday. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Just went outside and it was so hard to come back in, it's beautiful out there!

Ooooh, beer. I want beer. I want to dance this weekend. It's been too long. I have Saturday night to myself, but I'm supposed to bake all night long. I don't think I should bake and drink. I've never done that before and it might not turn out right.

Trish - but you can bake and dance.

Ruby - my yard is just mud. It drains toward the back of the property nicely. I need to have some dirt delivered. After I get it spread it out I can get either sod or seed down. I wanted to have it done by now, but I just haven't had a good weekend. The rain got in the way. I am thinking a day off next week (probably Friday) plus the weekend and I should have it all done. As long as I can get three days in a row with no rain, I can get it done.

Mostly costume making here and buying stuff for upcoming parties - and probably making spiderweb chocolate lollipop molds - which is probably the only food item I can prepare this far in advance...

Sunday it's a trip to the local pumpkin farm!

Sparky, I know what you mean about the carpet - I've seen a few houses with carpeted bathrooms. Ew....
