Just a side note.  This was Mary Shelly's first attempt.  She was married to famous author Percy Shelly.  She wrote this on a weekend getaway that she, her husband and friends had.  The objective was for each to come up with a ghost story.

It depends: THe pumpkins you use to eat are a fruit because they contain seeds. But, some of the pumpkins you get to carve are actually gourds...
