Hmm, I don't know why I put "Wednesday" on yesterday's thread. I really did know it what Thursday.
Oh well, it's Friday now!
We're only 2.5 hrs of driving from being back home. We have three stops to make on the way. We'll go see Ashfall Fossil Beds, then there's an old working grist mill we want to see, and one more fort to visit. We should be home early afternooon.
Then, tomorrow, I have to go back 1.5 hrs West to pick up the dog at the kennel. I've had enough driving for a while.
My bed is still too comfy. I'm debating on whether to go to the walk tomorrow morning. It'll be hot and I'll have to wake up. I'd rather sleep in, then maybe swim for a while.
So, how has this vacation been Web? Has the boy enjoyed it? Has it been some quality family time, or too much of each other?
Today will be a long workday. I am so unhappy about recent developments around here. It really is time to go. I know I've said it before, but this I'm done. 4pm can't get here soon enough.

I really need thunderstorms to stop waking me up! Last night I was woke up 3 times. I don't like them as it is and prefer for them to be a bit more quiet. Less boom please.
Got our energy bill yesterday. Let me say OUCH. Can the heatwave move on now?
Mr.Woo had to play hardball with the landlady. He had made a deal to reroof the garage himself in exchange for a month of rent. She has been dragging her feet. Well our lease isn't for use of half a garage! So he didn't pay on the 23rd. He then called her after the flooding from all the rain last night and was not pleasant. He had to leave a message. Who just suddenly showed up not long after? Oh why she did with her maintenance guy. We're supposed to get the dumpster and stuff next week. Forecast doesn't look good though. Oh well.
Going North to his mom's this weekend. And then we have dinner with The Girl on Sunday for her birthday. I'm not sure that will go well. But that's another story.
Have a good one!

Anyone want to blow off the rest of this work day and go have some fun?
Yes.
So what are we going to go do?
Anything to get out of the office. I think I want to be outside. I know it is supposed to get really hot again today. What do you say we stop at the playground and swing on the swings first? Then we can see about having some lunch and maybe a bottle of wine or two. Then maybe a nap. Then we'll run around in the spray park. By then it should be dinner time.

I don't usually take stock of whatever is said in my horoscope but I generally read it everyday anyway. I recently read it, normally I do it while at lunch. Today I think this could be a little correct:
You are in a fast-moving sign, Gemini, but right now you have an exceptionally high levelof restless energy. If you allow this frebetic state to take over your emotions, you will find yourself feeling exhausted, you will be incapable of getting anything done, and you will probably add a few worry lines to your face.
And then it goes on babbling about channeling the energy and if I do I could make great progress with a goal. But I don't wanna. So there. I wanna go play.

I only needed three hours this morning to make 40 for the week. And I have done that. I was going to leave by 4, but the more I think about it, I'm trying to figure out how early I can get away with escaping today. I have to see if the bigger boss is here. I don't think I have seen him today. So I'm thinking 3:30. But in my mind I'm creeping towards 3.

It doesn't feel like a Friday since I'm working OT tomorrow. I'm not liking these six day weeks, but it should get easier once I start getting some checks that show the extra pay. I've got the opportunity to work up to 22 Saturday's in a row, I'm shooting for taking 20 of them. We'll see, this is only the third one, so I have a long way to go. Although I did commit to all four in August yesterday, so I'll be doing at least 7 of em' I guess.
Woo, waking up to a thunderstorm can suck, but yesterday I was awaken to the fire alarm, it's LOUD and it's CONSTANT. I woke up with my heart beating so fast I thought it was gonna burst. Then you got that weird decision to make, do I actually run out of the house half dressed or assume that it's a false alarm and wait it out. Stoopid fire alarms.
Ok, enough griping. Time to make some lunch. Gotta build up my strength so I have the energy to gripe about stuff this afternoon.
JR - At least you heard the alarm. When we had the fire at our old, old apartment complex we couldn't hear anything over the fans running. Neighbor even threw a shoe at our door.
Also, I have a sudden craving for ice cream. I wonder why.....

I finally figured out why I thought yesterday was Wednesday . . . the last daily thread was "Tuesday", so the next in line should be Wednesday.
Anyway, we made it back home about 5:30 this afternoon. Saw a few more cool things on the way. The flour mill was really neat. It's not a working mill, but it's still in tact as it was in the early 1900's. You know, we think we're pretty technologically advanced, but that 1800's water driven machines were quite amazing in how they were made for what they had to work with. Very cool.
Tomorrow, I go 85 miles back West to get the dog. I've had just about enough miles for a while. Our total for the week was 1,250.
We did really well until today. The boy had had enough. He threw a fit at the flour mill today and didn't want to do it, but we survived that.
We're tired but it was fun to see stuff relatively close to us we've never seen before. It really is quite amazing how diverse our state is from the flat plains and corn fields, to the sandhills, to the tree covered hills along the rivers.
