I have a feeling the crew isn't going to be able to pull off any deals before the deadline. I wish we'd go after Aramis Ramirez, but I doubt the Cubs would send him to us and I don't know if he'd accept the trade. He seems like an old-school player that might not want to play with a hated rival.
Probably not but it sure would be nice. I'd like to solidify the outfield. We could use the offensive help. I don't really expect the Phillies to do anything. I am glad that Beltran is out of the division though.
And I'm sure if Dylan swings by, he'll have something to add.

I kind of expect Pence to wind up with you guys, I'm not sure why, I just have a gut feeling.
I'm not sure what you guys have to offer, but i know the crew is pretty much tapped out of desirable prospects (although Melvin keeps claiming that's not the case)
Rumors had it that it would be two of our top pitching prospects and Dominic Brown. I know the Phils weren't interested in rental players. And Pence was locked in for a few more years. There was also a rumor about going after one of the White Sox outfielders. But I think Pence is tops on their wish list.

Okay, so the Phillies acquired Pence. It cost them four minor leaguers. His play will be an immediate upgrade on both sides of the ball.
I see the Brewers also made a trade today. Too bad the Cuubs allowed an eight run inning. That totally blew the game and gave the Cards all the momentum. Here's hoping the Phils can keep the pedal down against the Pirates.
