It seems like every six months or so we here a story like this...
A woman who authorities said was hearing voices tossed her three young children off a pier into San Francisco Bay. Rescuers had found one body, and the other two children were feared dead.
The mother, Lashaun Harris, 23, of Oakland, was booked on three counts of murder, the San Francisco Chronicle reported in Thursday’s editions. Her children were identified as Trayshaun Harris, 6, Travante Greely, 3, and Joshua Harris, 1.
A child’s body was found about four hours after a witness reported seeing a woman drop the children into the bay near Pier 7 Wednesday, said Jonathan Guerra of the U.S. Coast Guard.
I was reading this story last night before they had all the details. The witness was talking about how she thought she could see the woman holding her kids over the bay and droppin gthem into the cold water one by one.
I watched the story on the today show. They reported that she even took off their clothes before dropping them in. Here is where I am waiting for answers. The father is so distraught he cannot speak to anyone, but they reported she was in a homeless shelter.
And a suffers from a mental condition that was not being treated. VERY sad, but God has his ways. This may have been what was best for all involved. The mother might get some help and the kids are truly in a better place!
