Last night, I noticed a bit of a lump on my lower jaw. This morning it is quite visibly swolen. It feels strange, but I can't really say I'm in pain. I stopped at the dentist office to see about getting in today, but they were closed.
The receptionist there goes to our church and I helped her out with some stuff a few days ago, so I called her at home to see what their schedule might be. She said they are normally closed on Fridays as they have an orthodontist that comes in later to use their office. She also said this is likely something fairly serious and I should at least get on antibiotics right away. She gave me the dentist wife (also the assistant) cell phone number.
I called Mrs Dentist (also the assistant) and she said she'd talk to Mr Dentist and call me back, which she did. They are running their son out of town for a broken finger (last night in football), but are to be back this afternoon. So, she called in an antibiotic prescription for me and said they will call again when they get back to town so Mr Dentist can take a look at it.
I went and got the antibiotics and got started on them.
I hope this don't interfere with my massage that is scheduled for 4:45PM.
Aw man, Web, I hope it's nothing serious. My grandma had something like that happen while we were on vacation once. We spent one day of our vacation sitting in the waiting room of a walk in clinic. They gave her antibiotics, and she visited her doctor when we got back, but they never did figure out what had been wrong. (She has dentures, so it wasn't a tooth.)
Good morning! I am so glad it's Friday! The passive aggressive behavior is once again escalating in my office realm. I don't know if I should say something or just let it ride as usual.
It's good to have connections. I hope it doesn't interfere with any birthday plans you have, Web -- you party animal, you

Good day, all! Finally catching a break after the last three months of being way busy. The India peeps are headed home today and tomorrow, so no more sitting in the training room. I never thought I would miss sitting in my cubicle, but I sure did! I took my IP Certification exam yesterday... so close and yet so far... I missed passing by about 3 questions. Might take that again next week, but for right now I'm just way too tired to think about it. In the midst of all that, of course there had to be lots of family (both sided) drama going on. Hoping that is all calming down too, but that is probably too much to hope for.
I'm just so glad it is Friday! Looks like it will be a beautiful day here. I'm of course on standby duty in case things go badly with Hurricane Irene, but it should be a decent weekend weather wise so YAY for that.
Web... sorry to hear about the lumpy jaw. I hope that gets better quickly.

Believe it or not, there is really not a lot we can do in advance. We have some survivability trunks activated to help support the increased call volume, but really it is more of a wait and see what happens. Yesterday was the big effort of making sure we had the right contact phone numbers for those of us who will be doing the emergency response if necessary. Otherwise, I'm just watching the weather updates just like everybody else.

We haven't heard from Fuzzy. I wonder if she's in emergency mode for Irene. I've heard some news stations mention it could come as far inland as Philly.
