Gourmet Bratwurst?

Got a coupla gourmet brats at the store today.

Chicken, spinach & feta cheese instead of the normal brat innards.

Anyone ever have one of these? Seemed like a healthier alternative to the brats I love so much.

I've had Turkey brats before, and they're really good. I've had buffalo brats before, and THEY'RE really good, so I figured what the hell.

The only brats I've ever had and liked are Johnsonville. I really like the cheddar brats.

The review is in.

Chicken/Spinach/Feta Cheese Brat is one of the best brats I've ever tasted. Very good stuff. I love that it's not fatty at all.

I found nutritional info on the web. It's about 180 calories and 8.7 grams of fat per brat. That's a huge reduction from a normal brat.

Finally a healthy alternative that tastes gooooooooooooooooood!

Well, it still tastes brat-like, but without the little balls of fat in there.

It's still very juicy. I think they add the feta cheese to kind of keep it juicier. You would never take a bite of each and not know they were different. The Chicken brat definately tastes like chicken, but consistency wise and stuff they're very similar.

I like em!

A whole lot more expensive though. I paid nearly $5 for three.

ah yes paying for quality! I was always worried about them $3 12 packs. $3 12 packs of anything usually arent very good- beer, brat, toilet paper.....stay away from $3 12 packs...
