That is nothing compared to after the hurricance drenching last weekend. I think I heard someone say the river was due to crest around 1pm today. Thankfully it stopped raining right around 9am. There was some of the light stuff falling. I did hear it is supposed to rain later too. i know the creek at home is filled. I'll eventually go home and wait to see if Noah floats by. If he does, I'll try to catch a ride.

The boy is going to take up sax for band. Tonight at 5:00, a music store from 60 miles away is bringing in a bunch of instruments for rent. We'll rent a year or two to make sure he'll stick with it before we buy one.
Our only requirement was that he pick something that he may have a chance of using later in life outside of a brass band setting. That eliminated a few things like tuba, bass drum, questionable on trombone, etc.
The band teacher meets with the new kids coming in to let them try several different things. In our meeting, Logan liked sax the best, baritone 2nd, and trumpet was 3rd. So, he's going to try sax. He liked it best because he could just blow and didn't have to vibrate his lips to make it work.
He tried the clarinet too. The band teacher showed how the instruments were similar, but didn't say anything about needing to start on clarinet to play sax.
Mrs Web wanted to play sax too, but her mom and dad wouldn't let her because they were worried about the braces and all that they put into her teeth at the time.?.?
I told Logan if he played clarinet, he could be just like Squidward . . . he didn't see the plus side of that. *shrug*
We were always told we needed to play clarinet first too. I really didn't have much of a choice, my mom played clarinet and still had hers, so that way we didn't have to buy anything.
I didn't play an instrument. When you go to Catholic school it isn't required. I wanted to play but my Mom told me that lessons were Saturday mornings. Well, you know that interfered with my soccer and I couldn't have that, so no music instruments for me.

I've been wanting to stop by sooner every day and maybe get in on some of the conversation, but lately my sleep patterns been screwed up. I've also been busy going through the house finding crap to sell at the flea market at the end of the month.
I can't wait to unload some of this stuff and get the closets cleaned out a bit!
