A friendly public service announcement: Don't forget to back up your computer. I back up my work computer every Thursday evening. At home, I use Carbonite. And when my computer crashed a couple months ago, it saved my butt.
I woke up this morning thinking it was Friday. Then when the weather caster on the radio said, "And on Friday, the weather will be..." I was like, "it's only Thursday? $()!#."
I do my backups on Sunday mornings. I start the backup process on this laptop just before leaving for church because I use my little netbook at church.
Good day, all. Guess I should backup my computer sometime.
It is all real now... T-20 days til Little Man and I take off for India. Our flights are booked and we are presently waiting to hear back from the hotel as to the status of our reservations. Hoping that works out else I might be living in a tent on the street. Just kidding... if the one doesn't work out then they have to put me in a different hotel. And yes, I have already started packing.
The weather is much cooler here today too. Presently 52*. I gather we are supposed to get a little rain tomorrow and Saturday... temps in the mid 60's, then back to 85* on Sunday. The plan is to take vacation the last week of this month and do some more work on the house, so I hope the weather is still decent then.
Have a great day, everybody!

Mema, will you still come and play with us while you are in India? I hope so, so you can tell us all about your adventures and don't forget to post pictures! You should pack your camera now, so you don't forget it...

I will indeed attempt to post from there. I will have to be careful of what exactly I post since the company really frowns upon "trip blogging". They are concerned that someone will post something that would be interpreted as offensive to our hosts. I do plan on posting some pictures. As a matter of fact, I have been pondering buying a snazzier camera for this journey. Was just browsing them at Best Buy last night while shopping for power converters... which they don't really carry. Sure... they have one online, but it only works for about 10 minutes for anything greater than 25 Watts.
