Man Ultimo, you drank all the tea before we got here! ;)
So far, I'm in a better mood today. The work load at the office is more manageable, and I have a couple free nights at home where I can just watch tv and play video games. I don't feel so stressed.
Kinda what I thought ... Only Wednesday? My stress level is on overdrive. I haven't had decent sleep in a while now. This "one day at a time" thing is killing me.
Can I come over and watch TV with you, Mz?

Sure, come on over! My plan is to play some Plants VS Zombies then watch some Lie to Me or a horror movie. But I'm happy to change that up if there's something you'd rather watch or play. Oh, and there will be alcohol of some sort, probably martinis. Everyone's invited!
Since you're doing it for yourself you never really look at it like work (at least I didn't). And the variety is awesome, since you're handling everything associated with the business.
Plus, MOST of the time the job had a flexibility to it that you don't have at a normal job. Obviously some things had to be done at certain times. But if I wanted to leave the office at noon and do the payroll at home, I could do that, enjoy the afternoon, and do payroll while I was in my pajamas on the recliner watching Letterman.
The checks were pretty small anyway, you probably wouldn't have wanted them. The biggest payroll I ever had was 19 employees and the most hours any of those employees worked was about 20.
The vast majority got a check for about 8 - 10 hours every week.
Erica worked up to 40 hours a week for me at times, but that was um, well let's just say she wasn't 100% on payroll.
