I broke down, decided to deal with crappy customer service, switched back to SBC, and I'm getting DSL!!!. Which means I'll be doing some heavy surfing and downloading, so I'll probably still listen to the 32k line most of the time, but this opens up a whole new world of opportunities for me! Now, how do I wire the computer to the speakers throughout the house...

Woo hoo! I do not know how you go from DSL and then go back, but $$$ probably did that!

Mz never had DSL to begin with. She has a T1 connection at work, but at home she's always had dial up. She went with another phone company, Sage Telecom, (who has excellent customer service, by the way) after getting mad at SBC, but Sage doesn't offer DSL, so she has to switch back to SBC to get it.

Mz, trust me, you won't need to use the 32k line if you have DSL. It's got more than enough bandwith.

The only time you'd probably need to use the 32k is if you were streaming a video. But either way, WOO HOO! Glad to hear you're aboard.
