I'm feeling a little better this morning. I wish I was 100%, but there's not much I can do about that.
We also found out that an old friend from the cafe where Brian and I met was killed in a head on collision with a semi yesterday morning. He used to throw the best Halloween parties, and then switched to hosting haunted houses. He was a great guy, but we hadn't seen him in years. Brian doesn't want to go to the funeral (which is fine with me, I'd rather avoid some of the people that will likely go), so we'll be sending flowers.
Wow Mz, it is always a shock to lose someone you knew so quickly like that.
I got called out of bed by a server about 3:15 this morning. After dealing with that, I couldn't get back to sleep right away. I'll be ready for a nap soon.
It's another frosty morning but supposed to get up to 50.
Morning all. It was 50 when I left for work today. I think it should be a short day. I already did my 40 hours for the week by the time I left last night. I've pushed through some items this morning. I have a few more that I want to tackle and push them off on someone else's desk. Last night I was dreaming about work stuff again. Darn spreadsheets. Oh, and green addidas products (sweatshirts and shoes).

I got a 12 pack of the new Dr Pepper 10 calorie stuff to try. It doesn't taste as "full" as regular Dr Pepper, but it does have the DP taste. It's sweeter than diet Dr Pepper. I don't think it's as strong as diet, but it doesn't have the "bite" that diet has, either.
If you like Dr Pepper, I don't think you will dislike this version, but it is a bit "watered down" from the real stuff.
Good day, all. It is a quiet one here at the office... well, at least since I finished trying to reorganize the stuff on my desk. I'm still trying to get things organized to support running 2 different computers on my desk at the same time. I had it set up so that there was one in each corner, but then I find that my back is perpetually turned away from one so I don't see my incoming e-mails and IMs. Kind of a pain. Now they are sort of side by side. We'll see how that goes.
Otherwise, not much on the books for today. I paid off my corporate credit card bill earlier and also paid off the one personal credit card I used on the trip, so my business with that is all but closed out.
Also checked on the Missouri courts website to see if they had any new information out there in regard to my nephew. Looks like he goes back in front of the judge on the 17th. I'm going to go see my brother at some point this weekend, so I'm sure I'll get more info then. I'm just trying to get a grip on the fundamentals of what is happening before I go deal with the raw emotion of it all.
Looks like weather wise it will be a decent weekend in my part of the world. Good thing... I need to do some work on the outside of the house and someday get around to cleaning up the leaves.

I do have multiple monitors. That compounds the issue. Multiple monitors, multiple keyboards, multiple docking stations, multiple mouse pads....
I think Guz is blowing his leaves over into my yard. First things first though... I have me a trailer full of construction mess that needs to go to the dump.

I wish! Doesn't work that way though... one issued by my actual employer, one issued previously by my now customer. For now at least the policy seems to be "to each, their own work".
Oh yeah... let's also not forget the two cell phones, two IP phones, and one desk phone.
