Is anyone exepercing bad buffering today?

I am trying to figure out if it Live365 or my connection. My connection did not start out that way today.

I've been fine, but I listen to the 32k line at work too.

I'm getting it too on iTunes. It just recently started.

And of course, I listen to it for a while. Then I finally give up and ask. So you know right after I ask, it does it once and then it has been better. I hate when that happens. I guess I should have asked a while ago and it would have disappeared sooner.

I've been listening to what we are going to play Sunday morning so I just now turned on FFR. It's buffering here too and the Live365 home page is REALLY slow loading up. I think it's them.

Oh my, it is REALLY bad here. Don't get more than 15-20 seconds before another buffer. I don't think I'm going to be able to listen with it this way.

Try the 32k line. I've had no problems, and I don't notice a quality difference.

Web - that was my problem too. But I seem to be better now. Maybe the issue is just making its way across the country. You are getting what I already had. If that is the case, you should be good soon.

Good call Molly . . . the 32k is holding in there but I do notice quite a loss of quality. I'm feeding FFR from my laptop into an amp which is powering two nice big Sony speakers mounted to the wall out in my shop. It's not bad . . . sounds about like AM radio but at least it's not stopping every little bit!

I switched back to the 64k and it's holding up pretty well now.

Ah, sounds much better.

Web I am with you on the speakers.  I have mine set up to my Bose Wave Tower thing.  It's pretty awesome.

It sounds better for one thing, but also, I need to be able to get it loud enough to hear over tools when I'm working in the shop.

Ah see, I'm in an office with two little computer speakers and a neighbor, so I have to keep my volume pretty low.

got home at 6:30 pm my time this evening- station still on, no buffering, looks to be solved, eh?

I need to thank molly for suggesting the 32k stream as an alternative. I REALLY REALLY like the 32k stream A LOT and encourage our listeners to REALLY USE IT a lot!! (Jd's contribution to the station) and keep it on as often as possible (wants to keep it if its used enough!).

I've gotten some great thank yous from people who are now able to tune in at home too because of it!
