Mrs Web decided to stay in Colorado an extra day. She's supposed to be leaving Fort Collins this morning. The boy and I got along just fine. I think the place looks just like it did before she left.
Other than that, not a lot to report. What's up with you?
Oh yeah . . . the boy was sleep walking last night.
About 1:30am, I hear: "Dad!"
I rolled over and here he is standing just inside the bedroom door bouncing around as excited as he can be: "What, Buddy?"
He said "I figured it out! You know how (professional) wrestlers just use their initials for their names? I know why they do that!"
As awake as he seemed, I then figured he must be sleep walking: "Why's that?"
Then he got all confused: "Well, it's because . . . um . . . well . . . I'm not sure now. I just found an action figure in my bed and that made me think of it. Now I forget"
There was no action figure in his bed: "Ok, Buddy. Why don't you go on back to bed and we'll figure it out tomorrow."
He turned around and headed back down the hall: "Ok! Goodnight!"
I asked him this morning if he remembered any of it. He said he remembers waking me up, but nothing after that.
Morning all. Here we are once again. Good news is that even though we have a full week this week, we have a short one next week.
This morning I sent a spreadsheet of 404 inactive jobs that need to have tax ids put into the job file. All of them need a county tax code and about 50 need city ids. I can't wait to see if I get any backlash for that. They better not have the nerve to do that because I have been asking them to do that for at least a year and a half. More importantly, I took the time to sort everything, discard the items for which I didn't have enough information, discarded the jobs that were inactivated before 1/1/08, did the research for all the city and counties, along with making sure any missing sales tax codes were added. I did all the hard, time consuming work. Now, if they choose to try to get IT to do an upload, so be it. Just make sure it is completed by 12/31. I dare them to come near me about this.

Stop trying to be what you see. Be what you ought to be.
Good day, all! I'm back at work, trying to get rested up from my weekend. Presently it is sunny and 60*, which is not too shabby for November 14th in Kansas.
I took Friday off work and spent the day raking my front yard and getting the leaves bagged up. Yep... AAAAAAALLLLLLLL day. Just the front yard... and at that, just the grassy area, not the landscaped area by the house. 3.5 hours of raking followed by about 6 hours of getting all that bagged up and to the curb. Sure, I spent that last 45 minutes going over it with the lawn mower... liked to have killed me! 24 bags of yard waste and 3 days later it sure does look like I need to rake my front yard again. By time I got done I was overjoyed to have found that I still had a couple muscle relaxers on hand because I sure did need them!
Saturday I got up early, took another muscle relaxer, and finished painting the trim on the front of the house. Got myself cleaned up from that adventure and then went over to hang out with my family at my brother's house. His oldest daughter came to visit. The last time I saw her in person before that was 24 years ago when she was about 3 months old. It was really nice to get to spend some time with her and most of the rest of the family.
Sunday was spent at the Chiefs game with my brother. (Suddenly, I am now his favorite person.) We did the whole tailgating thing, then watched the game, and for good measure got some dinner afterwards on the way home. By time I got home, I was wiped out. Fell asleep before half-time of the Sunday night game.
So here we are at Monday. The busy morning has ground to a sudden drag. Not much going on for the rest of the day, except for maybe testing some new trunks. I'm good with that. It is going to be a short week for me, so I'm not looking too hard to get wrapped up in anything.
Hope everybody is having a good day!
