curiously, I notice these guys have three songs in the top 10 requested songs, and I have never heard of them before.  I usually pride myself as somewhat of a music buff,  so... who exactly are these guys?   Most of the acts in the top 40 I know, except them, and oddly they are they hottest band on the site.

Hi anf, they are a rock/blues band from Rapid City SD. I sent the cd in a couple of weeks ago. The lead singer is a friend of a friend of mine. What do you think of them?


P.S. I haven't been the one requesting them!

We encourage anyone who has a local band that they like to do like Sparky did and Webguy did (with OK SISTERS) and get us a copy of their music. We are more than happy to broadcast unsigned "Up and Comers" to a world-wide audience!


In fact, I am getting a cd from Angel and The Aces (jazz band from the DC area) for my jazz show. I have featured their last cd on Jazz 101 and am looking forward to this new one!


In fact, I get a credit on the inside cover thanking me for featuring them! How cool is that!!!

Unlike another singer from another up and coming band who shall remain nameless...

Yeah, I think D's feeling like yesterdays news, but I keep tellin' him that an artist has to keep putting out material or they get forgotten about.

The music biz moves fast, he's gonna need to wear his running shoes!

But I'll tell you this, I went to his last concert and I am 100% confident that a new song called "Love On Hold" will be a HUGE hit on this station. It's got a great sound and I'm hoping it will be among the first they record when they head back into the studio later this month.

Well, in LND's case I beleive it's lack of funds.

The studio time is expensive, and the band members all have other commitments like wives and children and mortgages and businesses.

That's why most bands start when the artists are in their low 20's and commitment free.

But they'll get it done eventually. Hopefully by spring.

I respect Riggs musical judgement....

Love on hold will be one of the first we record. We go back in the studio November 12th.

Unfortunately, the studio process is three fold....first you record all your material...
then it is mixed and finally mastered...this engineer wont mix and master until the project is recorded.

Maybe we can coax one finished tune out of him for radio play.
