If I were a pessimist, I would say: Man, there's something wrong with my email. I didn't get any work emails over the weekend. It's going to be a bad winter, I can tell because our weather is going to be unseasonably warm this week. Bugs will be bad in spring.
But I'm not a pessimist. Somehow, miraculously, the only paperwork I'm buried under is billing. I must have gotten into the Christmas lull early, which is good, because now I can catch up. And the temp is going to be 47 today, and then into the 50's for the rest of the week! It kind of gets me in the Christmas spirit.
Speaking of, I got all my presents wrapped this weekend and cards done. I've got some gift card holders to make, and a couple lingering gifts to wrap that haven't come in yet, and I'm done!
We're so far behind on Christmas, it's not even funny. We concentrated on getting the entire kitchen, hall, and bedroom (ceiling only) painted the last couple weeks. The Christmas shopping has gotten set aside. We're running out of time but the painting is nearly done. Mrs Web has the day off. She was hoping to try to get some shopping done today.
It's 19° now, with a high of 32°. At least the sun is shining. The long range says 30's for us all week.
Morning all. It was a semibusy weekend. My Saturday was busy with travel, my nephew's 1st birthday party, family and visiting friends on the way home. Not too much got done yesterday. I did watch football, shower, wash the dishes and go grocery shopping. I had things to do but didn't want to do them. I have not done any baking yet. I'm not finished Christmas shopping either as we just picked our polyanna out of a hat on Saturday. Shopping for the neices and nephews is finished though. I have some time left to take before the end of the year. Use it or lose it. I already have the last week of the year off. I thought I had half a day remaining, but it turns out I have a day and a half. I considered working 36 hours Monday-Thursday and then taking my four hours time on Friday that way I don't have to come into the office. If I do that, I'm going to make Friday baking day. If I can get all the tax payments scheduled, I may even give myself a four day weekend. We'll see how the week goes. I probably should also speak with the boss about my possible plan.

I'm still a little hung over from yesterdays football game. I'll tell ya, this has been by far the most exciting Packer season I've ever been a witness too. I think we've got a great shot at a perfect season and shutting up those 1972 Miami Dolphins once and for all. Not only would be be the only team to be perfect through 19 regular and post-season games, but we'd also have a string of 25 wins over-all. The Dolphin's were nowhere near that number. I think we can do it. Just so it's not like the Patriots big year where they went perfect in the season and lost in the playoffs.
MZ, I think you're right, we're in for an unseasonable warm winter (has been so far). I'm VERY happy about that.
I finally took the plunge on a MagicJack Plus. I was getting sick of having to cut conversations with people short because my cell minutes were running out for the month. I'm not sure how it works, I've heard people rave about it and I've heard people gripe about it. I usually assume the gripers are the ones who don't read instructions and set stuff up properly or just had unrealistic expectations. I'll find out.
Probably be making Webster my first victim after he gets back from lunch.
At least last week's game was interesting, hard fought and tight until the end. That is a reason to drink more and more. Is a blowout a reason to drink endlessly?

No curse of Milwaukee here, this is da Green Bay Packers!
Some of my family wanted to go down to Indianapolis for the Super Bowl MZ. I don't think we're gonna though. I kind of tried to talk em' out of it. Hotels will be hard to find and expensive, and really, it's not gonna be full of Packer fans. Green Bay is still the better destination I think. Sit in a bar of all Packer fans, and celebrate with the natives after the win!
Yes Fuzzy, second week in a row we turned it into a whole night of partying. I think it's the late start, games over after dark and you just don't feel like going home.
This week I stayed pretty sober though, and still had a good time.

There's a lot of Packer fans in Indiana actually. If you do decide to come down to Indy, let me know, and maybe we can do lunch the next day or something.
Good day, all! It is unseasonably warm here right now, but I'll take it. Supposed to be rainy for the next couple of days too. Meh... better than snow in my mind.
I really hope the Packers do go undefeated this year. It is nice to have something to cheer for. The Chiefs have basically imploded. Todd Haley (head coach) was fired this morning. The only real surprise there was the timing... I would have thought they would have waited til the end of the season to dispose of him. I guess it doesn't really matter. Not like they were going to have a prayer of winning against the Packers this coming weekend anyway, nor of going to the playoffs as anything other than ticketed spectators.
I'm about a third of the way there with Christmas shopping. 0% there on the wrapping of presents. Bought some Christmas cards, but I haven't gotten them sent out yet. I'd suppose I should get my booty in gear on all that.
Hope everybody is having a great day.

The Chiefs are still doing better than the Colts. I've given up on football this year.
