Ultimo- ?4U

Since we know you do not have Thanksgiving, do you something similar? A day off to celebrate your family, friends and life in general?

Tomorrow is Veteran's Day here. Do you have a day to celebrate your veterans?

We have a Remberance Day but it's on Sunday, its always the closest Sunday to Nov 11th, so I guess thats our version of Veteran's Day. We all wear Poppy's to Remember.

Well then I think we should have an Ultimo Day so you have a day off between now and Christmas!

Did you know.....

...that Veterans Day was originally called Armistice Day? This day was set aside to reflect and remember the sacrifices men and women made during World War I in order to ensure peace. The first official celebration was on November 11th, 1919.
World War I ended when leaders of several countries signed the Armistice on the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month. An Armistice is an agreement to stop all fighting, in other words a truce. This truce was signed on November 11th, 1918 at 11 A.M

Around 1953, people began calling it Veterans' Day.
Congress decided to change the day to an occasion to honor those who’d served America in all wars. In 1954, President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed a bill proclaiming November 11th each year as Veterans' Day.

That Ray, he is so knowledgeable. Last week he explained Thanksgiving to us.

Ray - the Pacers game was on ESPN last night and I watched some of it. They were up and then down and then up again. A 17-1 run at the end of the third quarter seemed to give them the momentum. I spent some time looking for you since you said you were working. But alas, you could not be found. It isn't easy to search for you when these camera guys are focusing solely on the game.

I might have been on when Walker chased a ball to the corner of the floor across from the Pacers bench. I think it was midway through the 4th. I thought he might end up in my lap but stopped at my feet. That was probably the only time I was on. Other times I might be on is during time outs. If they come back early you might see me on the floor shooting the Pacemates or in that corner shooting fans.
If the game is on TNT or ESPN I should be on that corner. But that was the only game I took this month. I'll probably work more in December. I'll keep you posted.

Do that because I want to be able to say "I know that guy!"

I didn't watch any of the 4th quarter, so I guessed I missed you. But that means I was looking the wrong way anyway. I was looking for you more down by the Miami bench. Oh well, maybe next time.
