Only one more hump day until Christmas. Then only one more until next year.
Wow, this year went fast.
I'm still rashing. It's driving me crazy. I took a couple Benadryl last night and it helped a little for a while, but whatever it is is still coming out. I didn't take any Benadryl this morning. It's hard to decide which is worse, the itching rash, or the Benadryl sleepies.
Today is the last day of school for this year for the Boy. They were not doing much today, just a few classes they get to watch a movie. He's excited.
UPS says the last Christmas gift will arrive today. We cut it plenty close.
Man Web, I'm sorry you're having all these little problems with this surgery. Hopefully you'll feel all better by this weekend.
I spaced out on the way to work this morning and didn't stop for coffee. So I'm eating the bottom of a jar of trail mix which is mostly granola at this point. That's all I have left in my snack box.
Morning all. I have a belly full of cookies. That was my breakfast this morning. Would have been better with milk. I doing stuff. Mainly because that is what I do. The boss is bothering me. He'll be here Jan. 4-6th. Lucky me. I get to start the new year with a visit from the boss. He is late getting here this time. Probably should have been here near the beginning of December. Whatever. At least I know that I'll already be busy so maybe he'll leave me alone.

I called my local doc to ask about this rash. She said I need to call the surgeon's office first. I left a message with the surgeon's nurse and she called me back. She looked at the records and they gave me nothing before or during surgery that should have caused this rash, so that only leaves the pain med, Hydrocodone. The ONLY medicine I've ever reacted to was a sulfa based antibiotic. She thinks that must be it though. I haven't taken any of the pain med since Friday night. This rash started Monday night.
Anyway, she said this will eventually go away on it's own and it's not too concerning, but we can help it end sooner with a cortisone treatment. She's going to talk to the doc and if he says it's ok, call it in to my pharmacy then let me know. I'm not against ending it sooner.
MZ, maybe I'm responsible for your not getting your coffee. I NEVER stop for coffee and today the ads for McDonalds Peppermint Mocha's finally got to me so on the way home from work I got one. You know how the whole ying/yang thing works. Out there in the universe a guy who never gets coffee decides to get one, so someone who always gets one has to forget theirs that day. sorry. If it's any consolation I wasn't all that impressed. Until the last six or seven sips anyway when you get down to the really pepperminty part. But even then, it wasn't worth anywhere near the $3.30 I paid for it.
Scooter, didn't know you were having a problem with the rash. Hope it gets better soon.
Fuzzy, tell the boss I said he should leave you alone AND give you a 20 percent pay raise for 2012.
Tonight's our lame-O "Christmas Party" (thsoe are air quotes). I get to work at 9:30, at 10:30 I have to travel seven blocks to the "party" (more air quotes). They'll spend an hour telling us about business stuff while feeding us military style. allow us 30 minutes to chat amongst ourselves and then send us back to work to try and finish up the whole nights work in the reduced time we have left.
Merry Flippin' Christmas to us. I LOVE Marquette, and in many ways they treat us GREAT. The annual Christmas Party is NOT one of them.

Thanks buddy. That means a lot to me. If my direct boss had his way, he would do that for me, especially since I should already being making 15% more than my current salary. So, in actuality he would only be giving me a 5% raise for 2012. I think I'm worth it. Maybe I should try that approach.

The nurse just called me back. The doctor said that he didn't think anything (including the hydrocodone) would cause a rash like this. She said I should just go back to my local primary care doctor.
It's 4:00 now so I guess I'll wait another night and see what it's like tomorrow morning.
