I think it's ironic, my husband is a veteran and rarely gets veterans day off. But right now he doesn't work Fridays anyway!

Mrs. Web works in a bank so she has tomorrow off . . . and it's her birthday. Were taking off for a couple days and leaving tomorrow morning.

It's funny . . . her dad was a banker too and for many years she thought her dad got the day off work just because it was her birthday.

For me, a "day off" means I don't come to the office, but with my web hosting stuff, I'm never truly "off work".

I'll be partially off.

Some of the banks are closed, some are open. So I'll be doing a split shift.

Working for a few hours in the early afternoon, then I'll be off for about four hours, then I have to work for about 2 hours in the early evening.

Oh well, better than a full day right?

Quite possibly.

JD was gonna come in for awhile too, but that's probably not gonna happen because of some stuff I gotta do.

In fact, I gotta run now, my Dad needs to get to another doctors appointment.

Talk to ya all later!

Thanks Ruby,

I'm back now for a little bit. MAN, Dad was G-R-U-M-P-Y today. But it's understandable, he's still in a lot of pain from the torn rotator cuff.

Yeah, he's on some pretty strong stuff, but I forget what it is.

He's meeting with the Surgeon right now, and then he meets with the doctor about his full body scan to see what the latest is with the cancer.

He'll probably go in next week for surgery on the rotator cuff.

The guys had a horrible 18 months

I bet those meds are why he is grouchy. Pain meds always bring out the cat in me!

Prayers for him are in order!

Sorry to hear about your Dad JR.
I agree with Ruby, though it is the pain that really brings out my mean side.
I've told my wife more than once not to take anything personal when I am in pain.
I can get real snappy and grumpy.

On the bright side I get tomorrow off and my wife is taking the afternoon off.
I need to get the tires changed on the car for winter in the morning so no use in her taking the whole day.

Yea with riggs running around like a mad-man, and with his dad and all, the timing is just hard. If something changes on his end, I'll stop by, but riggs has been burnin that candle at both ends lately. We will see!

I don't have tomorrow off.  Not a chance.

My dad's a WWII vet, tho, and I'll be sure to give him a salute.

Yes, but that could be the fun stuff. Image the things we could learn about JR like he sleeps in an igloo. Or that keeps the seafood place on speed dial.

aw no- auto request will still be on- he probably just won't be hosting the breakfast club- at least not for long.

aw fuzzy- I know the right way to do things- just at freeze frame its very much a hook the car battery up to the main console, if it sparks it will cause a fire, put the fire out, but know that you have power. Once the  electrodrodes on the broadcast helmet are red hot, you can hit CNTL +shift + F5 to turn on the mic. I NEED Riggs to engineer the place while I am on air. I wouldn't last 1/2 a song without him!

I am the same way Maple.  My wife is always asking if I am mad at her, and its the back pain.  But, yesterday the doc gave me some new pain pill, oxycontin--its supposed to be a time released thing.  So far it is great as it does not affect my concentration with the euphoria that oramorph gave me.
