That's right, it's bursday . . . -1° with a wind chill of -11°. This is the January we know and love . . . well, know anyway.
I saw a FaceBook status post this morning that I kind of liked. It said something about choosing your friends wisely becuase it's better to have four quarters than 100 pennies.
Morning all. It was 19* when I left the house this morning. The weather people are saying we will have some snow Friday into Saturday morning (about an inch) and then a yucky precip kind of day Saturday. Sounds like a day to stay in, put something in the crockpot for dinner and catch up on recorded tv.
My start to the day includes filing, ordering supplies for the new year and mailing the buttload of check I got from AP yesterday. Then we'll see where we are. I know I need to do the WA workers comp and start the NC and MI PPT returns. Yes, I lead such a fulfilling work life. :/
Work on.

Web, you always remind me that I shouldn't complain it being 32 degrees here, the high for the day. I shouldn't, but I still do. I'm spoiled.
I hurt my knee somehow. Probably by playing Dance Central. It hurt yesterday when I got up from my chair after sitting for about an hour after I got in. I still played Dance Central this morning too, but tried to pick dances that weren't the jumping and running type. When I'm just sitting in a chair, my knee is fine. A couple times during the night I was laying in a position that made my knee hurt enough to wake me up to move. Then when I first stand up, it hurts like hell and wants to buckle, but the more I walk around on it, the better it feels. Until I sit down and stand up again.
My boss is out today and tomorrow, so most of my work this morning has been her stuff. Which also involved a lot of going up and down the stairs, which my knee isn't liking.
Good day, all. Presently 25* here today. Brrrrrrrrrrrr is about right. I surely didn't want to get out of the bed this morning. When the alarm went off I was right in the middle of a really good dream. Been kind of dragging booty around this day ever since.
Yet again, not a lot going on today. Yesterday's fix in one database merely moved my problem to another database. We'll see if we can ever get this misery wracked set of trunks up and carrying traffic in the network.
I believe that I will soon have to do something of an intervention for my brother's sake. For the last week he has been subsisting on Brazilian cheese bread rolls. They are yummy, but one does eventually have to eat something else. Some of his text messages about this really do crack me up. Crazy little wackadoo that he is.
Hope everybody has a great day!

Since 10:30 this day has been lousy. I have not been able to do any of my work. First the guy comes over to talk about FL. Yes, I thought I sent him a pretty clear email with the information needed. And that email was December 9th. Then I hate when the bigger bosses want numbers crunched (that really is hypothetical) right now. And I thought about a possible part two and was going to do it right away so if he asked I'd have it. I didn't do it. You know he asked. Back to do part two which, thankfully had no effect on my original work. Nonetheless, I am finally going to go back to my work. There are checks and papers scattered everywhere. At least when I am finished, I will have a pile of mail to put postage on and things will be filed. After that, we'll see where we are.

Don't worry, that's my day on a regular basis, so I understand. My boss means well, but I swear she has the attention span of a squirrel. If she thinks of a question, she has to come get the answer from me right away.
