Morning all. It is chillyhere this morning, around 40. The clouds have cleared and the sun is shining but it still is cold. The cold air is settling in. They have even threatened us with out first possible snowstorm early next week.

Good Morning everyone! 2 below with the wind chill today, I don't think they make a coat warm enough! There was a rabbit burrowed into the snow to keep warm, how sad is that when you have to use snow to keep warm?!

cp has a point! 'bout 25 degrees right now, we had a couple of inches of snow overnight and with it being below freezing, made for a virtual ice rink to drive on this morning!

been there, done that--don't want it. I said before and will say again, I will take the 131 degree days torture for this blissful winter weather. BTW--my furnace is on. I don't kid you when I say I keep the house at 80.
I spent a couple more hours chopping chunks of snow and blowing them out from my grandmother's driveway. I was wet with sweat by the time I got it so she can get her car out. After that, I went and got Mrs. Web for lunch. I've been running around with just a hooded sweatshirt, no hat or gloves, and it feels nice . . . I see now that it's only 19°. It's just a matter of what you get used to.
I got another pic so what the heck, I'll force another one on ya.
This is what I've been working on and off for the last couple days. I spent about 1.5 hrs. this morning to get it the rest of the way from the curb out. This is looking out my grandmother's driveway. The city curb is about four feet this side of the snow blower. Its so hard and deep that my snow blower won't budge it. I had to use a shovel and break chunks off the drift and chop them into pieces. Then I was able to use the bower to move those pieces out of the way.
This stuff really brings out the good and bad in people. Lots of people are helping neighbors, elderly, etc to get dug out and not taking anything for it. Others are price gouging like crazy and taking advantage of the situation.
I expect it will be a week before the city can get around to getting all the side streets cleaned back to the curbs.
