Good Morning and Goodbye, Hope you all have a good day and weekend, my work day has finshed now so I'm off home to play WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2006 on PS2 untill my fingers bleed!
Good morning everyone! I'm having 'one of those' mornings. I hit the snooze button too many times, grabbed a pair of socks that didn't match, had all my stuff in a coat that wasn't warm enough to protect me in the 17 degree weather, my car was all frosted over, but I didn't have enough time to scrape, so I just used my wiper blades and windshield washer fluid to clear me a 2"x2" square to see to drive to work. I need coffee...
It's 19° here now and not expected to get much higher.
I just had an interesting experience at the post office. I stopped to see if I could pick up my mail and they asked if I have put a hold on it. I told him I had not so he said that it would be on the truck for delivery then. I then asked him if they were going to put the mail in our doors where they can't get to the boxes. He said no, that would take them forever to do everyone that way. I asked if they were going to get out of their trucks and climb over the snow ridge to get to our boxes. He said no.
So, it sounds like they are just going to load the mail into the truck every day, carry it around, and not deliver it until the street is cleaned out.
I "officially" put a hold on my mail so I can stop and pick it up myself. It really amazes me how "rules" can totally block common sense.
JD, I think we all need to move in with CP, we could call it the FFR Compound and our kids could grow up there and drink kool aid and be happy and warm!
Fuzzy, I had about 12 layers on this morning, I felt like the kid on Christmas Story!

Web - my parents had the mail problem too. We lived at the back of a circle. I would make sure I would clear about three feet of snow from around the fire hydrant and the mailbox. Just because you know you are going to get plowed back in when the plow would come by. The township would pile the snow at the back of the circle so there went access to the mailbox. I can't tell you how many times we did not receive mail because the mailman couldn't reach the mailbox because he didn't want to get out of the truck. The were numerous times that we called the township and told them the situation about the snow and you know they ever rarely did anything about it. And you know what t is like to move those plies once they have been plowed.
