When I was pregnant, I let all my house plants die! I had so many that it took almost 20 minutes to water them all!
Anyway one aloe plant and three of my Christmas cactus refused to die! So I have those four only. I do not want anymore! I love my garden now- easier to maintain!
You think you have killed the aloe plant by it being sunburnt and tossed into the yard. Then it goes and haunts you by growing back in the yard next year even stronger then it was before. Yes, my mother did this. My Christmas cactus is more of a Thanksgiving cactus. It will bloom for Thanksgiving and continue through New Year's. It will bloom again during the year too.

We have a few around. I don't even know what they are. My wife could tell you what kind they are.
Between college and getting married, I was living alone in a basement apartment. I wanted a little life in there so I bought a small philodendron. As it started to grow, I needed a place to contain it so I built a hanger with a shelf attached to a section of wooden chain. The chain links are about 6" long each. It climbed in and around that hanger and looks kind of neat.
We still have that philodendron hanging in our bathroom above the bathtub. My wife says it will go when we redo the bathroom and convert the tub into a shower. She says we don't have any other place where it can hang. It don't think it would survive the winter out here in the office. That's kind of sad because I've had that plant longer than I've had Mrs. Web. That plant is about 19 years old!
I have been in my house for a year now and the landscaping needs some work. But I kept a geranium and impatients in window boxes and hanging baskets. As for inside plants I have the Christmas cactus, a regular cactus, one of those palm tree type plants and a peace plant. I need to get some of them better light. I have to find a nice plant stand that I can place in my room for the peace plant. I like gardening and such.

That's impressive, Web! Me, I have a hard time feeding or watering anything that doesn't make noise. I have one plant that was from my father in law's funeral. It's a peace lily. I really try to water it every weekend, but sometimes I forget. And the way our apartment is situated, we don't get a whole lot of light in our house. But for some reason, this plant hangs in there. It always has a flower. I've gotta wonder if the spirit of my husband's dad keeps it alive.
I had a cactus once. My mom knows I'm a brown thumb, so she got me a cactus when we moved into our new house. One day, I decided to set it outside for a while to get a couple hours of sunlight. Someone stole it!
They stole your cactus? Well, that is kind of mean.
I used to keep all sorts of plants for my mom. They would go to the deck in the spring through the summer and come in for the winter. She still has one or two of the geraniums that she keeps.

I just have 1- a big old ivy I think- its like the ones they have in office buildings that are hard to kill.
My folks gave me this ugly thing in a pot as a housewarming gift. I think they actually kept it outside as a plant for awhile. It was ugly so I purposely let it die and then said "awww...I'm no good with plants...) Anyways it sorta looked like a pot plant.

I have a rubber tree that refuses to die. It had grown to over 8 feet tall and was way out of control, so last winter my hubby brought it in and cut it back to nubs. It spent the winter in our non-climate controlled garage without water. Eventually, a box even got stacked on top of the pot. When spring came around and we were cleaning out the garage, I'll be darned if it hadn't started sprouting new leaves. At present, it is about 3 feet tall and is wintering in my dining room.
I also have a couple of jade plants, an airplane plant, a couple "mixed foliage" type potted things I got after my dad passed a couple years ago, a couple hybiscus trees that don't seem to be groovin' on living indoors, an azalea, a philodendron, a schefflera(I think that's what it is, we call it the kleptogondis plant) and some other cactus.

No Plants for me, there are plants in my house but I have no responisibilty for them, which is good thing because they would die, I'm not good with things I have to feed or water, when I was little I managed to lose 3 Hamsters.
I agree Ultimo. I can do cats and dogs. But if it comes to something that stays in one spot and doesn't make noise, such as hamsters in a cage, plants, or fish in an aquarium, I can't keep it alive!
Philadendron!!! thats what I got! thanks web. I recommend them they practically take care of themselves! just go into an office building lobby like me and snip yourself a couple clippings. plop that in some dirt and there you go!
