Favorite Christmas Movies

What your favorite?

I have a couple. The first is "Scrooge". The 1970 musical version. It's a british cast featuring Albert Finney. It's great. Well acted and a lot of fun. My mom took my borther, sister and myself to see it in the theater in 1972. I've been a fan ever since. It finally came out on DVD a couple of years ago. I'm waiting on the sound track to make it to CD. There is a CD with the stage cast but it's just not the same. If your not familiar with the movie I bet you know one of the songs. There are a couple of commericals that are using the song Thank You Very Much in their advertising.

I like the Bob Hope movie "The Lemon Drop Kid". It's silly and fun. Plus features the song Silver Bells. Great light-hearted comedy.

Of course "The Christmas Story" is on the list. But I think that one may be on everyones list. There's a guy I know that has a "leg lamp" that he puts in the window every Christmas. I nice reminder every time I drive by.

Of course, I've got A Christmas Story on my list too. I also like the Muppets Christmas Carol. But my favorite has to be the original cartoon Grinch. Fah who for-aze! Dah who dor-aze! Welcome Christmas, Christmas Day.

I like the cartoons- Charlie Brown and the animated ones- Rudolph, Frosty etc... I  like The Christmas Story too! I have only seen parts of Miracle on 34th Street and It's a Wonderful Life, they seemed good and my type of movie, but never got a chance to check them out. Maybe when little E gets older. I like some of the newer ones too- like with Tim Allen and Bill Murray!

But I HATE BADDER SANTA!

Add a cartoon to the list,  I like Santa Clause Is Coming To Town.  Who can't love the Winter Warlock when his heart melts?

Movie?  A Christmas Carol, but its a tie with the George C Scott version and the, can't remember his name, Jean Luc Picard of Star Trek.

Most any of the cartoons are good.  If I had to pick a "real" movie, it would be "A Christmas Carol".

the 1 where Santa gets drunk  and crashes his sleigh into Lake Michigan is pretty good ,

the cops were gonna give em a ticket for flying while intoxicated , but the chief of police was a former pilot for Northwest Airlines and he could " relate ", so instead of going to jail Santa and the chief went to a topless bar  where they reminised about the "good ole days " till they both passed out.

The scene where the girls are sitting  on Santa's lap and he asks them  ' are those real ? is pretty funny .

I also like the 1 where Santa is flying over North Korea and they mistake him for a U.S. spyplane and launch a few SAMs .. the ' air kill ' jokes are the best!
