It seems there is an asteroid that is 390 meters wide heading for earth. It is scheduled to be here in 31 years. It is more likely that it will miss us but the odds are too close to not start planning for ways to divert or destroy the asteroid.
It seems that the asteroid is supposed to come close, but not hit us in 2029 but that may be the start of a real problem: "When it does pass close to us on April 13 2029, the Earth will deflect it and change its orbit. There's a small possibility that if it passes through a particular point in space, the so-called keyhole, ... the Earth's gravity will change things so that when it comes back around again in 2036, it will collide with us."
At tech college, we always had a "first snow" and "last snow" party. The thing was we never knew when the last snow was going to be so we had to party just to make sure we got it covered.
