Sunny and low 50's, Going for a Wendy's chili today. Seemed like a good chili day.

Turkey and cheese sandwhich, an orange and some wheat thins. Exciting, I know.

The weather seems to be holding in the partly cloudy and mid 30s range.

I'll just go home and have a yummy sandwich.

It's 33 here. I was hoping it would get a little warmer and melt some of this snow, but it doesn't look like it's going to get out of the 30's any time soon.

It's somewhere in the mid 40's now.  I had lunch at the world's slowest McDonald's.  Granted it has been a very long time since I've been to a McDonald's, but when did they go over to the idea that you have to stand in one line to order your food, then stand in another line to pick up your food? That is just silly to me.

Have you been to one of those McDonalds with the two drive through ordering lines? But there's only one pick up line! Who thinks of these things?

Mema . . . you were at the world's slowest McDonalds? You should have told me you were coming to my town . . . I would have bought you lunch!

McDonalds here is pathetic (we only have one). A friend of mine went through the drive through one morning . . . "Welcome to McDonalds, may I take your order?" . . . he said "Just throw some sh#$ in a bag because you won't give me what I order anyway". LOL

LOL, I've been tempted to use something like that before Web! In my town, Burger King is worse than McDonalds. You're lucky if you get sauce for your nuggets. Don't even think of asking for ketchup. And whatever you do, don't order inside. They obviously put drive through orders first and don't even look at the inside orders. One day all I wanted was an Icee, so I thought going inside would be faster. I had to wait 10 minutes after they took my order for them to pour some of it in the cup for me.

No, I sure haven't.  Honestly, I avoid McDonald's whenever possible.  Much like most of America, I did a stint as a Mickey D's employee.  When they started talking McPizza, it was time to find a new job. Now they take credit cards and put warning labels on the hot apple pies and coffee cups.

Frankly, if I have to wait on my burger and fries, I'd rather just go to Culver's. The food is better, the help is nicer, and they have yummy frozen custard.

I always look in my bag before I leave the drive thru to make sure everything is in there.

I think I told you this before, but I usually order my burgers without pickles. When it arrives with pickles I take them off and throw them on the windows to stick in ketchup and mustard and all its glory!

I worked at McDs for two months. I always thought it was funny when I was applying for jobs afterwards and they asked me why I left my last job. I always wanted to tell them, "Because it was McDonalds."

It's sure comforting to know that some things are universal.  I guess I just expect more from the stores around here because the regional headquarters is here in Overland Park.   I put in about 2 years at Mickey D's.  Started in high school and continued on for the first part of college. I can honestly say it was less miserable than the telemarketing job I had, but I was still lucky to get out without being shot.  The store I worked at was definitely in what you would call the ghetto and I don't have the disposition for face to face dealings with the general public on the subject of McNuggets.
