I am at home- took a couple days off or risk losing them at the end of the year. A sort of forced vacation, very very glad I took it tho!


I hear you guys on the salary! I never want to be salary ever again! Some weeks back when I was on salary it was like I was working for 8 bucks an hour!!!! No way!

You get 8 whole dollars an hour???  I think (up until the hurricane anyway) I was making roughly 7 cents per hour.  During the hurricane I think I was paying them....

That was 7 cents an hour BEFORE taxes.  I think they did charge us rent... and quit picking up the trash.

One time a company I worked for tried to put me on salary. Then I got in trouble when I didn't work overtime. They just didn't get it.

I'm just checking in tonight before I start working on inking cards and presents. (Doing the cards with a rubber stamp and coloring them in this year, and writing the inside by hand with an old fashioned calligraphy pen. Also hand painting some door hangers as little presents for the ladies at my office.)

Reminds me of another Dilbert from long ago where the janitor went up to one of the engineers who was working late and said he made more money than the salaried engineer, simply by working 55 hrs a week. 40 hrs a week of easy enough labor, 15 more of reading his fishing magazines. Too low on the totum poll to even be watched, plus had no student loans to repay...and he'd just be reading the magazines at home anyway, so he wasn't missing out on anything......

I have some white wine, thanks! I do a lot of computer artwork, so it's nice to do something with my hands sometimes.
