RE: Photo's of my father...

I never said anything about not getting my a$$ kicked

Why do you think I took to dating a gorilla?

Ruby,

I remember you posted that one by the bar once before. You totally look like you just stepped out of an 80's video

I suppose the coming of compact cars sort of killed that hairstyle.....

Web, if you put your hair up in curlers! Ha Ha ha! I love it! You guys have really made my night a whole lot better!

Say Web was your mom around when they were filming the Mary Tyler Moore opening credits?

Entertainment Weekly ranked this opening sequence image of Mary tossing her hat into the air as the #2 Greatest Moment In Television. See lady in background!

Ok Sparky,

First, good call! I think that IS his Mom back there.

Second, how the heck did you THINK of the woman in the background

Third, how did you get the exact Freeze-Frame of the openings with her back there?

You have some huge database of crazy hair styles or something?

JR, my wife calls it my big brain of useless knowledge. I remember the silliest things in life but I can't remember yesterday. I have a habit of looking for goofs in shows and such and just remember the lady in the back ground looking right at the camera. As far as the still shot, You should see my pictures of the grassy Knoll!

I'm trying to remember the movie where the group of friends were sitting around talking about how hot one of the others mother was. I have a feeling JR must have had a few friends over for cookies and milk alot!

Yeah Sparky, I agree. she is a pretty good lookin' gal there in the wedding pic.

Here is another one of us with mom and her hair. This is from 1971. I'm the short one in the striped shirt. I would have been five there.

It's fun to look at old pictures.

*edit: I forgot. The ugly one there is my brother.

It sure is fun to look at old pics! I had to dig one out from my folks house for this "guess who this is" contest at work. And looking through them was really mind-blowing.  lemme see if I can find that one.....

LOL I still see little old ladies like at the bank with that same late 60s- early 70's-inspired hair with the kerchief to protect it from the wind....

I think the hardware store by my house still has cans of Aqua Net, right next to the LAVA soap and across from Nair display.

See, here you all are making fun of your Mom's hair, but even for the 80's, my mom's hair wasn't bad. Granted, this is the early 80's, but still, she permed but never really got that big.

It's my dad that had it going on! This is my dad and me:

P.S.
Sorry for the poor quality. My scanner went caput, so these are pictures of pictures.

You guys always make me out younger than I am. Yes, my parents were kids in the 80's, but they were kids that HAD A KID! My dad might have been 21, probably still 20, in that pic.
