NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS!

ITS THAT TIME OF YEAR!

WHAT YOU GONNA RESOLVE TO DO BETTER NEXT YEAR?

I'm still in pretty good shape, tho have sluffed off in working out since august. I think working so much that I am too tired to eat probably helped here.....not the healthiest way to stay trim......winter here, after New Years makes it easy to get back up on that elliptical machine- just to get the hell out of the house and DO SOMETHING! So that's mine. Return to the gym, return to another season of racketball!!

ALSO-

We have a good thing going here at Freeze Frame. We get the e-mails, the PMS from forum members too- what would make the station even better is more dj time, more shows, a return to the salad days where we were here in the studio more often than not! I want those days to return! I'd love, by the end of 2006 that this is what Riggs and I do for a living. This would have to involve an aggressive selling of ad-time, be that banner ads on the home-page, or on air ads, both which we have dabbled with- us marketing the station on a larger scale. This can be done; perhaps this should be on the prayer thread!

This is the little station that could, that is doing, and will continue to do!

I too have slacked off my exercise plan due to meds that I take at night. BUt that is really an excuse. I just need to learn how to do it in the evening. THat is my pledge to my family- Zach wants to help me. He is learing about the importance of PE at school and I really think he fears I might get fat! I also need to repaint the whole inside of our house. We have been here a year this week and I hate the colors te previous owner used!

I hope that you and JR get your wish, we will be here trying to help!

Both Mz and I have resolved to be more active this year. I'm getting a bonus, and Mz is getting paid for all the days she didn't take off, so we're both probably going to get a membership to the YMCA. If I've paid for something, I'll force myself to go just so I don't waste money. I've been feeling sluggish lately, and I've been having trouble sleeping, and if I start exercising on a regular basis, I think that'll just help me feel better in general.

Oh I loved when I belonged to the Y, Molly! Now I just belong to crowded Ballys. I love to be in the zone where I feel bad when I don't work out- that putting forth the effort to go out in the cold, at night seems like no issue at all-

addicted to that work out high!

That's my goal, to get that work out high. Then I'm hoping I can use my bonus every year to pay for the next year's membership at the Y. We'll see how it goes, though. Mz, I, and another friend are going to go check out the Y the first week of Jan. to see if that's what we want to do or not, though.

Between not working out enough and not getting out in the sun enough, I've developed the pasty pale, surviving on cheetos and Mt. Dew, look. So, until it warms up enough to spend any time outside, I'm thinking about hitting a tanning bed about once a week too.

LOL I am 1/2 Scotch-Irish in my blood. It could be sunny and 85 everyday and I would be pale as a ghost or 3rd degree burned!

I have never been this pale in my life. I usually don't get very dark, but I always have a year round tan, and this year, it's fading fast. I think I've got some Indian (feathers not dots) in my blood, because I've always been kind of orangish, and I never really burn.

Come to sunny southern California.  I think we are supposed to be 80 today.  I am going to work on my tan at the golf course.

New Years ressos?

First: Find a Job

Second:  Work out more and get in shape

Third:  consistently set resolutions every year.

Fourth:  Have new Years Eve at least three times a week with my Jack Daniels and start all over.

My resolution is to be a better person than I was this year. Attempt to be more humble, gracious and appreciative of the family, friends and peolple around me. Enjoy the things I have and not get caught up in craving the things I don't have. Really take time to enjoy the surroundings I'm in. I may not live near the mountians or ocean but there are plenty of marvelous things that mother nature has put in Indiana. I just want to be better tomorrow than I am today!

I resolved to Cut down or quit smoking completly in 2006. I am also renewing my gym membership so that I can get BUFFED!!!!!!!!!!!

I am also going to stop eating so much junk food.

I resolve to cook more for the FFR members. get out the boxes that did not make it to thier destinations by new Years  so that I will feel better about it.

The one Resolution that I have followed through with and have been keeping was to quit drinking. I quit completely 6years ago and have not had a stiff drink since.  After my 12 trays of jello shots and 3 Margaritas  and ruining a freinds bathroom. I said no more.

That's great Thumper.
My borther decided to get himself sober this year. Well he had to. His work sent him a letter. He hasn't had a drink for almost 6 months. Now he wants to quit smoking too. I hope he can do it but I think that monkey is going to be harder to shake.

I could probably have a list of resolutions that is a page long, but I just need to have the strength, desire and will power to deal with it.

I am also looking to reform the drinking habits.  Actually, I've already started on that.  I used to go out and drink-a-plenty every weekend.  It gets old after a while.  It was just a leftover habit from younger days, but between it making me really tired now and the legal ramifications with driving I'm finding it's just not worth it.

Otherwise, I'm thinking about some career development things.  I'm planning on working on some IT certifications I've been meaning to pursue.

I work out and eat pretty well (I know, shut up, right?) although I have been eating like a friggin' horse over the holidays so I have added a few extra pounds to work off.  I did join the local Y a couple weeks before Thanksgiving in order to temper the effects of holiday eating and I would highly recommend it.  I'm doing the cardio bike and the steam room...feels great on a cold night...

I drink very rarely anymore, when my daughter was born, I swore I wasn't going to be that drunk dad that put the diaper on backwards. Don't get me wrong, I like the social drink still.

Mine is the usual lose 15 or 20 pounds and eat healthier food.

It's not one of my resolutions, but right now, after a bad day at work, I'll go home and have a drink. I'm hoping by joining the Y that maybe I can get the frustration out by working out instead.

Now who in their left mind would quit drinking?  Maybe cut back a day or two.  No just kidding.  I really don't drink as often  as you might think.  I have had a  bottle of JD untouched for about a month now.

.....course, whose to say it was full in the first place.  just kidding.
