Hay Dave.

Getting ready for church. I'm not playing bass today.

We have our last Christmas get together at my Grandma's house today after church. This is my grandma that made the curtains for the boy's puppet theater.

Hope you all have a great day. I'll be out until late afternoon.

Its a balmy 36* here in Southeastern Wisconsin.

The Packers are getting ready to cap a bad season with their final game. It is meaningless but not without some drama...

Is this Brett Favre's last game?

Is this Head coach Mike Sherman's last game?

If he stays, will there be staff changes?

Next week the playoffs start....only the second time in the last 15 years the Packers will not be in them.

Mornin' to anyone not in EST. 55 here now, but there's some rain on the way. I can deal with that. I'm sitting here eating an egg sandwich and grits and drinking a mimosa. My plans for today include much laziness.

Black eyed peas and rice. I cooked the beans with a ham bone from Xmas, then add 1 cup of rice 20 minutes before the beans are done!

Good luck food!

Here is the complete recipe:

1 cup of black eyed peas

5-6 cups of water

1 smoked ham hock, bone, etc..

1 medium onion

1 cup of rice

Rinse peas. Place them in a pot, add water, throw out peas that float to top, add ham and onion. Cook uncovered at a small boil for 1 1/2 hours or until about 2 cups of water are left. Add rice, cover and simmer for twenty minutes. Viola!

hey ruby I got a pot going too!

I shook it up a little bit- instead of a ham bone, I had a 1/2 pd of smoked ham I added, a couple of bay leaves, some minced garlic and ground pepper. I still have 45 mins for it to cook!

that must be a thing to do up here too! the store was almost out of black-eyed peas! And the check-out lady knew what I was up to do, so she wished me good luck!

I have a pretty good feeling about it, but if it turns out good, that will be by good luck!

Sometimes you've got to love typos. Reading that sentence literally is hilarious!
