JR, we get to hear who's dog got out today.

Actually, we did have a shooting not far from here. The shooter fled and was caught about 75 miles South of here. The victim died later in the hospital. One of the ladies my wife works with saw them both at the bar not long before it happened. Thats big news for around here!

The whole police scanner thing would drive me insane.  Rather than KNOWING what was going on in the world, I choose to live in my oblivion.  I don't watch the news.  I don't read the paper.  I listen to the radio on the way to work in the morning...but they never talk about what's really happening in the world though.  It's too scary out there.

My husband has two.  I can't stand those things.  He leaves one on really loud all the time out in the garage, right by the door to the kitchen. It creeps me out to hear someone talking when I know for a fact I'm home alone.  Sometimes I can even hear it when I'm upstairs in my bedroom.  The other is in his truck.  I make him turn it off when I'm riding with him because the static sound drives me up the wall.

  A  police scanner ?   I was gonna guess a cobra .   I know a few people with them , there nice in my part of the world as we have little in the way of local news coverage.
