-- Soul singer Lou Rawls died today from lung cancer, according to statement
from his publicist.


Didn't even know that he was ill....I will definately play a couple of his songs on Sunday's Jazz 101. I have a duet with him and Ray Charles....definately will feature that.

I was lucky enough to see him perform last year at a Buddy Guy show.  He joined Buddy for just one song, and made himself scarce right after.  I wonder if he was very sick at that point?
