I had to fill in for a cameraman who's nose was broken. He was under the bucket and there was a scramble for the ball. Pacers were playing San Antonio. Ron Artest and Tim Duncan go for the ball. Ron tries to stop and puts out his palm and breaks the cameramans nose. Instant gusher. He went to the hospital and I had to fill in. I was in back running the robo camera that's mounted beneath the scoreboard. It was quite the evening.
It's wierd when I go to a game as a fan. I feel like I'm losing money. Then I have to deal with the crowd. When I'm working I'm there before and after the crowd so it's never an issue. I've been dabbling in this since 1990 so reverting back is difficult.
