good morning!


I just awoke from the weirdest dream. In this dream, I had kept my high-school car, an 84 Renault Alliance, and was in the process of trying to restore it & get it to run again.


I went to this old auto-parts store for an air filter, and was told to wait a second. The owner comes down and says he's been trying to collect $3000 in defaulted student loans from me for years.


Knowing that my loans had been paid off for years, I said "well, lets head up stairs, show me your authorizations and paperwork, put everything you need in writing, and let me see what I can do."


So we go up to the offices. It reminds me of Sanford and Son, all sorts of old stuff around. Plus a bunch of automotive (mob-wanna be?) goons milling about.


I said "I'm pretty shocked that an auto-parts store would be a collection agency too? And the owner says he's got all sorts of businesses, the store is just one. I remember being impressed, thinking this guy was a millionare, but a cheap one, as even the tvs around the place were old black and white consoles, with coat hanger antennas etc.


So he gives me a some sort of yellow receipt and this old intercom so I don't have to use the phone to send in all sorts of personal info, pins, bank numbers, loan numbers, credit card numbers, ss# etc


With a chuckle I said, "Well allright, you'll be hearing from me shortly", knowing full-well that I'd be heading to the police and then a lawer with this blatant shake-down story, paperwork in hand, proving my story.


How odd was that, it was more like watching a bad tv show than actually having a dream!

Good Morning everyone. Hardly any sleep last night. The baby was awake with a tummy ache off and on most of the night so I'm a walking zombie today.

Good morning all! 38.3 degrees here, and for five breif moments, while I lay in bed this morning, the SUN broke through the clouds and doused me in brilliant sunlight. Then it disappeared

Today is officially expected to be the 16'th straight day without sunlight (the weathermen consider it no sun if we don't get 20% of the day with sunlight, and we probably only got 0.05% with that little ray).

It's apparantly a record for our city, but not the good kind

Silly bird, I wasn't blaming you for the strangeness (I am strange enough on my own). I was just saying we all seem to be kind of in the same boat - strangeness, not sleeping well, or having things that need to be tended to while we are supposed to be sleeping.

DOH!  I was afraid of that.  It started out being told by a co-worker that I look like a girl who would enjoy Reddi Whip. Follow that up immediately by a call from a supervisor from another group in our building who I went to high school with... now wants to talk to me like we are best good friends.
