Ok, call me lame, but I could use some ideas or advice.
I have two birthday's next month- the Boy and Little E.
For her I am thinking of going to Build a Bear with about 6 of her "real friends"- as real as it gets for a 3 year old. My hubby wants to go to Chuck E Cheese (we were just there!) and invite a whole bunch of kids, keep up with the Jones', my actual neighbor's name . I know he is thinking presents. But to be honest the kid lacks for nothing! Between all her hand me downs (I saved everything from both teens from 5 til current!) and everything we have bought her and just having had Xmas, I am thinking no toys needed- let her treat her friends to a more intimate setting. All the while, keeping everyone out of my house! We can do cake at home if they do not allow it there, I am thinking not. I just want something new. We have done- Chuck E Cheese, a local Children's Musuem, at people's homes
Anyway- since some of you all have kids- which sounds like a better idea? I will investigate more into Build a Bear tonight.
For the Boy, he wants nothing. He is turning 14 (safe on the roads for one more year!) He has three real good friends and I offered to take them anywhere- not even with me, and he says no. I tried the gift angle, but to no avail- he too is spolied! So I am thinking about doing something surprise, but I did that last year and he big mouth friend told him.
Maybe some ideas- or stories about your 14th birthday party.
